so lately when i played, my game would crash whenever i tried loading my main toon which was in brisban wildlands. it crashed every time. so i figured it was something to do with being in brisban wildlands, but now it crashes whenever i load my main toon no matter what area he’s in. he’s been stuck in kessex hills and i can’t select him without the game crashing, yet i can select another toon in kessex hills and she’ll load just fine, no crash.

has anybody encountered this issue and have a solution for this? :[ i’ve asked my friend to load him on his computer and move him somewhere else, like divinity’s reach, and that worked once before. so i know its an issue with my computer, but i just don’t know how to fix it.

Have you tried uninstall/reinstall the client?

And how’s your ISP holding up? connection just fine? if not sure go to speedtest.net and check your ping/UL/DL

i wanted to see if there was any alternative fixes before i completely reinstalled the client.

as for my isp, it’s not that great but it was always enough to play the game. this problem started happening a few days ago right before the new patch. and i figured that isp wouldn’t be the cause of my game crashing horribly, especially since i can load other toons.

Yeah I’d understand if it was in LA or even Gendarran Fields, since those are overpopulated at the moment. Yeah I understand the ISP stuff, not that good, but good enough. When you logged on with your buddies computer did it load up and work just fine? And another thing to check is to make sure you don’t have too many background tasks going on. Other then making sure your GPU isn’t overloaded with processes, and checking over your internet connection, the only thing I can think of is to uninstall/reinstall. And I understand ya there, big download, and not that big on patience haha

yeah, its really weird. he just logged on and moved my toon to divinity’s reach, and he had no problem with it. and now that he’s moved my toon i’m able to log in on him as well, but i’ve done this before and i know its only a temporary fix until the game crashes on him again. and yes, reinstalling is my last option as it is a huge download that i’m not really patient for.

What’s your specs on your computer?

Also, like I said, make sure there’s not a lot of background processes going on, and possibly try on a toon you can get on for sure, lower your settings and try logging on to your main. Could just be trouble loading scenes in that area.

its a budget computer, but for over a year it’s been doing great and i’ve had no problems with it up until a few days ago.

i5 2320 processor
8gb ram
radeon hd 6850

Under the AMD there’s a auto-detect, and it will be able to tell you if it’s up to date or not. Double check your Radeon’s drivers and see if it’s good.

If not, you may have to put in a ticket or maybe a Moderator will see this post, before you decide to uninstall/reinstall

ah thanks man, yeah i hope a moderator see this and gives me a more clear answer of why my toon won’t load.

Find the area it falls under, and put a decription, and to make it easy on them, shoot them your specs and pretty much tell them what you told me =) Should be anywhere from 1-3 days, could be longer with all the bugs going around with the living story content going on, but they’ll get back to you =)

ah, thanks a lot dude. im really its all this living story content that’s making my game crash, since i’m reading that a lot of people are experiencing crashes (even if they’re different) during this event. :X

Yeah everyone’s having their own sorta issues with it. I’m even having some issues, or more or less my computer can’t handle all the action going on in one place xD Just lags spikes here and there, in low quality. But I’ve played Nexon’s games for years, I can play through lag xD
