My client keeps on minimising ever 1-2 minutes or so. Has only just started happening after i changed from hardline broadband to wireless connections at home. Iv checked all the firewall settings etc and its programmed to let the client “in”.

Any thoughts because is become pretty unplayable atm.

Probably a background task causing this. You can try to find the offending application/task, or try fullscreen windowed mode.

Hi. I tried the fullscreen window thing and it seemed to solve it up till about 3 days ago. Now it, goes quiet and locks up in windowed mode. I have to click in the game screen again to re-engage the game. Any ideas

As Kirito said already, there is another program running which is interfering with the game and causing you to go back to desktop.

Any AV program with active scanners, any firewall with popup messages, and any program that has info bubbles in task bar will cause issues like this with games titles.
Basically you need to reduce the amount of programs you have running to a minimum.

I have no other programs running in the background. None. I have raised a trouble ticket.

Press CTL-ALT-DEL. Start task manager. Go to the Processes tab.

Those are some of the programs that are running in the background. Each instance of Service Host (SVCHOST) usually handles several more processes, so there is more running than what you see there.

A program (most often anti-virus) is updating or popping up a screen message which causes the game to minimize (unless you are accidentally hitting the ‘Windows’ key).

It is NOT the game.

I have my anti-virus running in silent/gaming mode and I have this same problem – don’t think it’s the game as it happens in other programs as well (most noticeably vlc player) things just randomly minimize – seems to have started around the time I used my tv as a monitor (only once) to watch some stuff from an iplayer on my laptop and had to change my monitor settings

If you use iTunes and have a device such as iPod/iPhone/iPad make sure that wireless sync is disabled in iTunes, I have experienced this before were iTunes would minimise other programs to become the foreground application whilst it synched your device with the computer.
