I bought the laptop 4 days ago and the first thing i did was install gw2:HOT. the game freezes on me and i have to restart the computer to be able to restart the game. when i screen freezes you can still see everything that was n the screen and the audio is still playing in the back ground. i have tried everything i could find on the web about this topic and nothing has helped. it freezes at random times. sometimes 2 hrs of game play, sometimes 10 mins. task manager is unable to end it. when i open task manager, it says gw2 is not responding but i cant end the game because my mouse cursor is showing that i am still in the game. I dont know what it could be because this is a brand new lap top. i paid 100 bucks for the game and alot for this laptop and i cant even run the game. please someone help me out. anyone else have this problem with the game and can someone help me out? Plz and thank you

That thing is better than my laptop, and yet my lappy can run GW2 just fine. o _o
Definitely not a hardware issue, highly doubt it is.

Can you tell us what you have done so far?

Did you check to see if you have all the windows updates?

Windows is updated. Nvidia is updated. I have tried running the 32 bit and 64 bit. I have tried to repair both to see if there was a problem with the download. I have uninstall and reinstall. I underclocked my cpu. Nothing is working. It just does the same thing everytime. I never get a crash report.

i upgraded my pc to windows 10…guild wars was unplayable, doing the same as yours, i had to go back to windows 8.1, and its fine again…see if you can change the windows in your pc..because it wont work with windows 10…games basically wont play it seems. good luck.

My pc came with Windows 10. And I don’t particularly like Windows 8. Do you think it will work with Windows 7?

Are u have problems with other games as well or just gw2? I have played wow for a bit and it runs fine.
