graphic shaders high turns ground black
Hello and I have posted several pics and requests of the very same issue. To date it has not been addressed, or fixed. I run in 3D Vision also and have 2 Displays. They want me to purchase Heart Of Thorns, and why would I want to buy into this game, knowing that it more than likely has the same issue. I am not updating to Windows 10 either, seems theres a lot of things missing or added that make it something I do not want. But with this known issue from my posts from Windows 7 64, seems not one person has taken tiome to find out or even fix this issue. I posted it some place else and a GM/Forum Moderator moved it into this section, yet people have looked at it, but no one can fix this but the Devs. With that it makes me wonder why again, I would want to buy another Broken Graphic Game and not have any of the issues from the previous one fixed. I also had it go through the Broken or repair mode today too. Odd since I uninstalled and removed all directories from my system, and a fresh install after 3 weeks of not running the game. Look for my posts with actual screen shots in it, you’ll more than likely see what you are saying. I am adding 2 Shots here from today, actually 4, 2 with the way it shows, and then 2 showing the setttings and how it reacts in both setup.
hello, same thing happen to me and for me disabling the 3d option in the nvidia control panel fix it. hope it helps.
Was in dry top last night and had something similar during the sandstorm.. all the cliff faces, structures etc were a hazy shade of black.. looked kind of arty at first but then things began to just look black and ugly.. I am thinking something is up with the shaders and ambient occlusion combinations still

I have the same problems like you. For me it doesn’t matter if the 3d option in nvidia configuration is on or off.
Just the setting with shaders ingame have an effect.
Low/Medium = everything fine
High = ground is black
Why does nobody fix this?

Ask NVidia .. or try maybe older drivers, since NVidia often breaks stuff in newer
releases, just to shine with high FPS in the newest FotM game.
And no, i don’t have these problems with my Radeon R9 280x, but i still remember
all the bluescreens i had in Age of Conan as soon as i used Shader Model 3 with
the NVidia card i had at that time. Going back 10+ driver versions fixed it mostly.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
Hi i have the same problem as you guys.
Using Nvidia 3d glasses and when i put shaders to high the ground in some areas turns black. I have seen seen other ’’bugs’’ aswell, like blue colors, etc..
No words from developers yet ? Any words from Nvidia ?

Had issue like this not using 3D with GTX970 with 364.72 drivers after running game for a while with Shaders setting at high.
After a game update I found ground texture black and found this thread with same issue.
Checked in Nvida control panel “Enable stereoscopic 3D” was checked, after unchecking high was back to working normally.
Tracked source of issue to updating blueray player program where it helpfully set option ‘on’ in driver without telling me so it could support 3D playback.
