Guild Wars 2

i am on wireless verizon internet, i live full time in rv camper1 i deleted some files on gw2 because data was over 30 gigs big! now i am getting 1 x on dwonloads for re doing these files! i have seen you tube video on how to fix it. a friend in game has tried telling me. but my mom says i am wrong to delete those 30 giigs of local.dat. an i know that i feel so silly asking that my friend is correct an mom i to for me deleting files. help

Local.dat is your preferred settings (small file). GW2.dat is your client (game files). The client should be around 30GB now.
