Q:

So I have specifications that should allow me to run this game at a decent performance. , but i get frames ranging from 10 to 20 (minimum settings) at Queensdale and that’s when I’m out of combat. Temperatures are at normal (35 to 40 degree Celsius), hard drive is defragged frequently, I have even used optimization programs to terminate unnecessary programs. Nothing works, not even the range of solutions listed on the forums. Please help. Sorry for bad English.

Your CPU is seriously holding you back but it doesn’t matter anyway. I have a 3770k with a 7970 and this game still runs like crap. The devs just don’t care about how well the game runs as long as they are getting money from the gem store.

How is the CPU usage? After the last couple patches my CPU usage never goes above 20% and severely bottlenecks my GPUmaking the game nearly unplayable. I’m lucky to get 20 fps in Queensdale.

All I can recommend is if you have the game installed on a normal HD is to defrag it, looking at drive activity even standing still the game is still hitting the HD for a lot of data. Additional seeks due to fragmentation may be a reason for the performance loss and low CPU utilization.

On my quad I’m seeing 60-70% CPU utilization for just the game. So while not unique, your low CPU usage, it’s not universal.

We are heroes. This is what we do!

the biggest problem with the game is the use of Direct x 9 in the game engine this is much more cpu intensive then direct x 11 as that lets the gpu render a lot more thing directly calculating things its self instead of offloading calculation to the cpu that and the poor multi-threading on the game

if we ever get DX11 im sure most people with a dx11 card thats most people with a gpu from the last 2 years will see 1 20-30% fps boost if they improve multi-threading so it works well you could see 40-50% boost but that of cause is a pipe dream this side of 2 years work

Your CPU is seriously holding you back but it doesn’t matter anyway.

Buddy of mine plays on an i3 based laptop with intel HD 4000. The i3 eats the game alive, the frame rates are generally consistent aside from being a bit on the low side from the HD 4000. Though he plays on medium and it plays well.
