Total size of present DAT file is nearly 19GB. I have no idea what amount of data is installed from the DVD.

yeah thanks, i did the install anyway. it ends up downloading 7.26GB, and is very slow because it updates each archived file (145,000 of them), which means hours.
How did you NOT expect an install of an MMO released nearly 2 years ago to not take “hours”?

well, think of it this way. when i went looking for this specific information, i found multiple answers and no official ones. the answers ranged from a total install to only a couple of GB. there are obviously some interested in this question, because i see it asked several times on forums etc.
i note the way it downloads the data because it is strange and as i said, does each file in the archive, not a bulk download. this process makes it overall slower than expected from watching the download, so this is just more information for those interested. ie people that will google this information like i did.
sooo, this is the community here eh…
Since Dual Layer DVDs can hold up to 8.7 GB, I’d assume the install from the DVDs themselves is around up to 19~ GB. Then there’s around 4-6 GB of updates (4 GB when I first got it) post install.
