Guild Wars 2

I have been having lag issues from the newest patch happening frequently a few minutes into the game preventing me from being able to play it. I have tried connecting to a cable. I have had no issues anywhere else apart from gw2 so I would really like some help. I run with a I5 3350P processor and a GTX 660TI graphics card if that is of any use to know

go ingame, do /ip then do in your computer if its a pc:

go to search
type cmd
type in the black box tracert and the number from /ip without whatever is behind :

so if its 64.25.38.131:0

you type:

tracert 64.25.38.131

The first hop is your computer, the next few with the same basic information are your ISP, after that your in no-mans land out in the cloud. The last few hops are Arenanet’s ISP.

If its in your ISP you can call your service provider and get it fixed.

If its in Arenanet’s ISP they can call their service provider and get it fixed, but probably wont.

If its in the middle, your basically screwed. You can try calling the ISP with the issue by finding out who owns the ip address with the lag, sometimes they will in fact fix something.
