i cant play i got massive lags i cast a spell and i see the spell after 10 sec i and its now my internet everything else(other games and inetenet itself)work fine how can i fix it i tryed to open port dont see any diffrent maybe alittle les lagy but still alot of lags

Since that hot fix on thursday i think it was ,the little 20 sec patch the other day , I cant play for 5 minutes in pve wvw or spvp ,nothing . I had no issues prior to this and have 4 level 80 ’s ,so it ran fine for me . Now ,Its like the worst memory leak ive ever seen in any game . I dont know wth you guys did at anet ,but please put it back the way it was .

Yes im aware that it takes a beast to play this at max framerate . Im not gonna bother with machine specs as it ran fine before that hotfix ! But im getting this now and I feel the others pain ! If Icast any spell in wvw ,there is a 10 second delay and im dead when it catches back up ,like clockwork. I can run around for 2-3 minutes in the middle of the chaos and its fine ,the second I try to cast a spell ,lag and dead.

Ive spent a considerable amount of time on my end trying to figure this out . Its not the router / modem /AMD / Intel / ATI /Nvidia or cooling . I have 2 AMD machines and 2 Intels both with 6 month old hardware and its the same issue across the board .

If so,then why arent the forums right now,filled with complaints about latency lag ? You guys are the only two as of now.I really hate to say it,but again take a look at your ISP,connection.I had the same when i was playing Aion,amongst others,and had terrible latency prob ( also claiming it was not my router,nor my modem,but it was Aion thats the culprit ) till i realized i was very wrong.My ISP was to blame,i switched ISP and havent had a single latency issue since i dumped my old ISP ( well to be completely honest i did had the same latency lag like everyone else on the event ). But thats it,and currently also running the game just fine with no delays or any latency lag at all.2 Pc’s here on network playing at same time,right now im not playing but my girl is ,and she also does not have any latency probs like you describe.

Add me and make it three. Cuz i have absolutly same problem with Bonedoctor. I can run around like nothing is wrong. Everything seems fluid then I use a skill and it starts to lag and increase every second till I disconnect at the end.

I have the exact same issue. Everything els works fine, except GW2.
It has never happend before yesterday. Now the game runs like kitten.
Funything is, its only when I start using my abilities on players(in pvp)

Same here, started couple days ago. Happened once in LA, and two times in FOTM on a loading screen after completing a boss. Really sucks screws the rest of group out of the rest of the run since my login brings me back to LA & as we already know can’t join the group.

Mine started no more than a few days ago too. In fact I think it was the day after lost shore ended. Unlike some on the forums I wasn’t even getting lag during that crazy big karka event, and I’ve never had any other issues with this game or others on this connection. Mysterious.

monitor your ping times in task manager > resource monitor > network > tcp connections to see if it is high when you experience the lag.

Same, I fixed it for a couple days with a dns flush, but now it is back. I have done everything on this end, including numerous calls to my ISP, a home visit, a new modem, and Guild Wars 2 is the ONLY thing that constantly disconnects/lags. Something is horribly wrong on their end.

There are plenty of threads regarding lag, and even a sticky about it. Only 2 people affected?

It’s not his connection, I have a 38down/5up connection (stinger is right behind my back fence) and have had consistently bad fps since the Lost Shores update (talking below 10 fps)

Glad to see there are others that have noticed lag issues in the last few days. Trying to play at the moment but getting intermittent pauses between skill abilities, sometimes a few seconds and its quite annoying.

Done speedtests from the ISP, no issues. Logged onto another mmo, again, smooth as can be.

I’ve looked at the system resources and the connection seems to be fine as I have 200 ms which is the same as most online games I play.

For some reason, skills and abilities are being affected. I had the framerate showing while auto-casting and even during the pauses, FPS is constantly over 30 FPS.

It’s an ongoing problem – between the main thread and others there are hundreds of people who have reported increasing lag over the past month. I’m guessing most of them have just stopped playing.

I’ve found it’s only local primetime, which is weird, because it implies that ArenaNet’s servers are capping bandwidth to some regions – or I’d see peak lag around 7-12 PM US Eastern time, but it’s actually 1-5 AM. I figured it was my ISP at first until I tried playing other online games at the same time and found the pings were lower than ever. The only other game that has a problem at this time is Guild Wars 1.

Considering how server populations are much lower than what they were at launch, it’s still baffling how the server quality is getting worse by the week.

phew.. i thought it was just my room mate messing around with the internet that’s why I’m having trouble with my connection.. I wasn’t able to do dungeon with guild mates because of this problems delay skill and sometime Disconnected . specially doing LoFTM once your out you can never get back in.. I hope Anet will resolve the issue soon.

Nope, it is not me, or you, or the thousands of various computers and ISP’s worldwide. Something is wrong on their end. Something that cascades daily to suck more and more people into this horrendous merry go round of client freeze, game freeze and error after error…

Do you realize FPS has nothing to do with your connection,and the OP is talking about latency lag,since he has Delays in using spells and such and not a low framerate ?

Tried, no difference.

Me and my partner are also getting this issue, both our computers are fine with 100% of our games and internet connection, except this game, it also increases to an unplayable point if we try to group up. Would like to see this fixed because this amazing social game is quickly becoming a not so amazing solo game.
