Hi…
I been playing the game for 3-4 days now and didt have any problem before today… Now I keep getting crashes every 30-60 min. and it tell me to restart the client. Crash code is: 7:1000:7006:836:101.

Other people on these forums with error code 7 after the latest patch have suggested that temporally disabling the Authenticator (if its linked with your account) has stopped the disconnects.

Same here, getting the error ~ every 15 minutes.
Don’t know why, but it’s getting really frustrating. I get booted by the game and have to log back in. As you can imagine, this adds a certain challenge to dungeons and has already made me lose credit for a few DE’s. Every 30 minutes, ON THE DOT, at 25 and 55 after the hour, I disconnect. This never happened before the patch.
Same issue here.. Would boot me every 20-25 mins.
The only thing different I have done since update is link the Authenticator..
Will be unlinking it until it is resolved.
Going half way through the event and then the error pop up, i have no connection problem , is there a way to fix it? It’s been happening for a while and it really bother me.

i was having same problem, i took authenticator off and now “fingers crossed” its been fine ever since
3 times for me in a ~2 hour period this morning.
Have the same problem about 20 crash today
and real annoying especially since I use the mobile authentication i have to keep my phone open near me all the time ._.

Since Halloween Update i get these server disconnects every 30 minutes.

Getting the same as well – disconnect every 30 minutes or so.
Every 15 minutes for me. Followed by a random period of time that it doesn’t let me log in. Getting pretty kittening sick of this.
Same code, but happens to me within 2 minutes of logging into my character.

I probably had about five to ten last night, and in the hour I played this morning I got disconnected three times – pops up an error message (code=7:1000:7006:836:101)
Don’t know if the bug i submitted in game went through, I ended up with a crash that time. This is since the Halloween event update went live, no previous issues.
Get it when i remove map in world vs world, not allways but pretty ofen.

Hey guys as a temporary workaround if you have the mobile authenticator linked to your account I would recommend un-linking it for the time being until this gets worked out.

If you linked your account to the authenticator, then unlink it. I had the same issue & it went away after I un-linked the authenticator.

I linked it and had these issues. I unlinked it and STILL have the disconnections. Very shortly I will BIN GW2 as unplayable if no word comes from Anet about a fix.

Since installing the Halloween patch this morning, every 10-30mins my client goes all white with a error: disconected message that force closes the client regardless of what I am doing or where I am (I was killed in this fashion due to disconnection while evading over a trap and finding myself dead on the trap when logging back in).As much as I would like to play some of the Halloween content, I have given up trying to play Guildwars 2 at the moment because of this irritating bug.

Every thread says disconnect the authenticator, but I’m supposed to remove the thing keeping my account safe to play the game?? My account has already had hack attempt and in order to play I have to remove the only safety feature for my account?
I would do this if the Anet customer service was equipped with the ability to help me if my account was to be hacked. After gathering knowledge of how Anet customer service “repairs” situations, i’ve come to the conclusion that I would get a long automated email that does nothing more than “pats me on the back” and says sorry.
So, why should I have to disable a security feature in order to play the game I have paid for? I am being told to leave my account open for theft to play your game?
Same thing happens to me. I’ll post the exact error I get next time it happens.

36 minutes later it still crashes. I don’t think the Authenticator has anything to do with this.
Since the latest update went out my client has been regularly crashing with the message “client lost connection, please wait before trying to reconnect” (that’s not exact I’m afraid but the message is roughly that)
I hadn’t experienced this issue prior to the update.

I crash all the time now, and I got no authenticator. “lost connection to this or that” sometimes log server, or sometimes something else.

Hey guys,
In order for us to further investigate this issue, please run Guild Wars 2 using the -log command below. This will generate a log file of what is happening when you attempt to run the game. To do this:
1. Locate your Guild Wars 2 shortcut
2. Right-click and select “Properties.”
3. In the “Target” line, add -log to the end.
Note: Please make sure-log is outside of the quotes:
Correctly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe” -log
Incorrectly Formatted Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\GW2.exe -log”
Once completed, a file called “GW2.log” will be generated in your “Documents” folder under the “Guild Wars 2” folder and attach it to the thread.
I’m getting this, too. Happens about every 20-30 mins. This is the crash code:

It’s really quite annoying because when you disconnect in WvW, you are dead when you re-login, meaning you have to spend money to get to a waypoint.

I am also disconnecting every 30 minutes since the patch. The code for me is also 7:1000:7006:836:101.
I’ve been getting the same error all day as well. Been able to play for a max of 45 minutes before I get a sudden disconnect because of it. Anyway, the I just ran the log thing, so here it is. Hopefully this get’s figured out soon, since I would like to do some dungeons, but without the random chance of disconnecting.
Also, is there a way to re-enable e-mail authentication if we disconnect the Google Authenticator application?

I am having a similar problem this evening, not quite as bad as every ten minutes but about once an hour or so, seems to have something to do with the update patch, as have been using the authenticator previous to 22nd October update with no problems.

um, log file not showing up for me, I have followed the instructions above, thought I found the file but it was 0 bytes when error occured and only has a couple of lines in it after client closed, nothing helpful though. file attached.
Edit: confirmed with second disconnect, simular log to what I attached, 0 bytes till I close client then a small unhelpful log.

I am using the TOTP secondary auth option, but haven’t tried to disable it yet.

happening to me ALL the time, port forwarded and all the usual fixes nothing.
i am noticing a common theme among these logs tho…..
the line reading…..
Debug: Scale9Grid for resource=188 has negative width -8.050000
it appears in ALL of these logs from crashing.
Same error code, but I did notice that when I left Lions Arch, and sat in another zone for maybe a half an hour, I didn’t crash until about 20 seconds after reentering LA.
I’d really rather not remove my authenticator, hopefully the team gets a fix for this soon…and then they can also enjoy the festivities.

This looks like a better report, since if you hit OK, it’ll restart the client and restart the log file. Bleh, it should keep last 5 logs or something.
