Here is my log, ran with the auth still linked (end up d/c’d) (Deleted, empty log)

I am having frequent (less than every 20 mins) disconnects that I have never experienced before.
Code= 7:1000:7006:836:101

its better not to play at all than to open security away to hackers, i can wait 1 or 3 days no problemo

its 100% the Authenticator

I’ve been getting this ever since the patch as well.

I can see that its a problem with then authenticator but I don’t want to unlink it..

There we go, managed to get the log working and actually populated.

As others were saying, this is post patch and I also have the mobile authenticator set up.

30 mins later, disconnected again but the log shows a lot less this time and thought it was wise to post it.

Add me to the list. 4 times in approx. 1 hour 15 minutes. Started post-patch. Mobile authenticator in use.

Rest assured it is not the authenticator, I did not have one attached to my account until 10 minutes ago, it is 12:52am EST currently. I have been disconnected every 10 – 20 minutes because of this issue since 5:00 PM EST.

I repeat it is not an authentication issue!

There are some random cases where people w/o the Auth setup getting this issue. At least I hope that is the case if they’re able to verify the exact error number they get with the one posted here. For me, it seems to be Auth-related because as soon as I unlink it, I was able to run around Lion’s Arch and Queensdale for a while w/o a single hiccup.

However…

This may be unrelated. But I have a buddy who is in the guild and in my contact list. I have a chat tab spec’d to include game messages as well. It also shows who goes online and offline. Frequently throughout that session, I am seeing him getting bumped offline and reconnecting. But when I inquired him about it, he’s still in the game, meaning he never got completely disconnected.

To theorize, it may be that there’s something screwy with the authentication server that they’re using that is affecting those with the Auth (and in some cases, those w/o) and the contact list system. It’s a stretch… and nothing more than speculation. Who knows what is really going on since I was able to actually stay on for extended period of time w/o a random boot to the head.

I’m going to try unlinking the Google Authenticator and see what happens since I just got kicked off AGAIN (6th time this evening). Hopefully that will help.

I’ve been trying to play for 6 hours today and a few house last night after patch, and have been disconnected many many times, I cant do any instances (storyline) or WvWvW or dungeons that would take more than about 30 mins from time of connecting … jumping puzzles are impossable if you are taking your time and get disconnected mid jump or reconnect and are spawned off the puzzle.

I too have been getting disconnected about every 30min ever since the holiday event patch. I too use the authenticator. I’m going to try and disable it and see if that helps.

Well k some people say it’s not the Authenticator k i put mine back on get dc every 20-30 mins took it off no stay logged in 3 hours put it back on start DCing again my problem was the Authenticator so yea its 100% Authenticator far as me if it does not help u ATi’s new driver can cause it as well dont know why and Virus protection Firewall and some router’s cause it

Unlinking my authenticator seems to have fixed the crashing problem. Yay?

Having the same issues… keep getting disconnected. Sometimes 10mins, sometimes 20mins. Can’t even finish story mode… Its getting unplayable if you guys don’t fix this…

I do not have authenticater, not an Auth issue. It is however, annoying as hell.

i don’t have authenticator either.
happened a lot during last big patch, iirc. was quite frequent and got a bit better after that. still occasionaly but went almost 2 weeks without disconnect. after this big patch, started to DC again a lot more. and quite frequent.

not a techie, but perhaps has to do with the servers re-recognizing the connections or stabilizing after the patch? not sure what goes on exactly server side. no problem with surfing net, playing other games or any type of other data transfer.

Im having the problem that often when I try to login or even if I am successful in logging in it disconnects my internet connection. No problems playing any other games, and from time to time I even get to play GW2 for a few minutes before it disconnects again. Only started happening since Halloween patch. Please help quickly if you can.

PS I have the updated latest patch installed as well, but same result

I get those crashes, and I dont even have an authenticator.. Every 3 minutes now.

Same, no authenticator, game disconnects every ten minutes or so. Someone really screwed the pooch on this latest “fix”. It wouldn’t be as much of a problem if you had the ability to rejoin instances. Game randomly loses connection, maybe a third of the time it boots to character screen rest of the time you’re dead after 30 seconds of nothingness. Instantly able to reconnect, fine past that point for another ten minutes or so.

Getting error 7:1000:7006:836:101 again after the patch…but the timeframe is more inconstant, maybe 1/1.30 (compared to 20 minutes before patch).

a slight improvement in that it does not disconnect my internet, but as soon as I log into the game its basically times out. I can hit the buttons and move, but nothing happens. Please, help! Since Halloween patch everything has been down the toilet and before I am tempted to uninstall this game and never recommend this game to anyone of my many MMO friends, find a fix.
