Happening to me as well for the last week since I started playing again since release.

Usually happens between 5pm and midnight. Seems to occur more if my character is in a busy map. Sometimes takes 3 minutes to say I have been disconnected with the error. I can also hear the area’s background and ambient sounds sometimes while loading too.

Really frustrating. It is not my connection, I have opened all GW2 ports and have no issues connecting to other games.

Running trace route I see that 4-5 of the IP’s traced do not respond to my trace. The ping and packet loss is fine on the other IP’s that do connect.

Was playing just fine then tried to load Lion’s Arch to get through character story. What a mistake that was.

Has anyone from ArenaNet replied to this topic? I can’t be bothered to check through the pages spent enough time on this already.

I have also been getting disconnected constantly. If i do anything other than just walk around I am sent back to char selection. Was fine yesterday. then today the most I have been able to play is 10 min.

Keep getting disconnected with this error code. Everything but GW2 works fine and my internet connection is good. It’d be great to actually play the freaking game…. I didn’t have these issues before and I would love to know what the heck Anet is doing about it :/

Ignoring this problem is not a solution Anet. Even if you have a fix in a planned update it would be nice to know, I would hate to move on to find out you had a fix all along, there are plenty of other games in the sea without an error 7 message. But really the lack of any response is just unaccectable. Someone told me you were a respectable gaming company who took peoples money, Act Like One.

managed to finish only one spvp match this evening…. for the rest i always get the error code…. had no problems up to now with my connection but since the last update i cant play properly anymore. i hope there will be a fix or at least an official response soon.

same is happening to me now. plus if I do stay on sometimes when I waypoint I get stuck on the picture load screen even tho the sound changes as if to say I have arrived.

Getting disconnected approx every 10 mins. The annoying thing is that when it happens during WVW, I am dead when I can log back in and have the repair costs. This issue has been going on for ages, Anet just doesnt give a kitten . They’d rather spend their money on crappy adverts for new players that sort issues like this out.

I dont get the massive long lag spikes but i do get short ones lasting from 2-5 seconds from time to time. I got them before the update on the 30th but it was rare now i get them every few minutes and ontop of that randomly i get disconnected and get a black screen saying Unable to connect to login server Error code 58:11:5:512:101

I love how this error is just so RAMPANT!
Really ANet.. is it so hard to figure out a fix? this thing has been going on almost since the start of the game. I have done EVERYTHING the fixes has said to do, tried reformatting. did 2 different reinstalls, and still get this disconnect code. Its really hard to like a game that always disconnects you. Hell i have been dealing with this since i first got the game when it first came out.. some days im fine, and other days.. its relentless. Just fix it

I am also having this problem. It occurs at peak times, and when zoning, including fractals. Sometimes I just get stuck on the loading screen for 5 minutes, then I get the error code. Other times I might appear to have loaded, but I can interact with nothing, or I have a delay of 30 seconds on my skills.

Sometimes I use task manager to exit, then reload the game – often to find it works perfectly (at least until I need to zone into LA…)

On using gameadvisor, I always have a very large amount of packet loss at one particular IP address – the one before reaching the server. I attach part of the text here:

It’s always the hop to 89.149.164.42 which shows higher numbers than all the rest, and it always occurs at peak times, or just after a new patch when there’s a sudden flurry of activity.

I have been experiencing the same thing since the Fractured update (making it nearly impossible to actually do Fractals for said update.) I’ve never had problems like this before. The last two days it’s been especially bad. Sometimes it just disconnects me instantly with the error, other times I’ll get skill lag/freeze or my ability to use chat will freeze beforehand.

EDIT: This last time it happened and I logged back in, it started loading the LA load screen – except my character is in Plains of Ashford. It blipped back to the Ashford load screen after a moment or two, but… what? Then shortly after it d/c’d me again and I couldn’t even log in. I also couldn’t access these forums, as the GW2 website wouldn’t load at all. Aside from GW2, my internet is working fine – can play other games, can go to other websites… and for the record, I am not on a wireless connection.

Just started playing GW2 about a month or so. Haven’t had any issues until this past week or so. Now I get the same symptoms everyone else seems to be having.

Log in → black screen → error code 7
Waypoint teleport → black screen → error code 7
Lions Arch? → error code 7

Seems to disconnect me every 5-20 minutes. I guess I won’t be making any more gem store purchases or supporting the game financially until this issue is resolved.

If it’s not resolved in a fairly timely manner, I will find something else to spend my entertainment budget on.

Why are there no responses on how to fix this error?
Even if they cant figure it out then there should be some alternative. MY friend just went and bought a new computer just for this game and she cant even log on and neither can I. I just bought the game a week ago and have not been able to play at all hardly. I got a few good hours in over the week but the weekend is my time to play and I can’t freaking log in! AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Week of constant crashing, sent support ticket and they replied it’s problem on my side and i should contact my isp. I have played this game for almost a year with no problem and now all of sudden it’s my isp’s problem… And funny thing is, this started exactly after the wintersday update. And i have no problem doing anything else online, other games also works well… I’m losing my patience, if they can’t fix this soon in next update, i won’t bother anymore.

Same problem here. The disconnects started to appear on thursday and it feels like its getting worse. At first after waiting 10-20 mins it worked all properly again, but now i often cant even join wvw anymore or even if i can join the lags are so extreme skills are executed about 15sec after i pressed the key. As a player that mainly plays wvw this is really inconvenient and somehow its sad to read how long this error exists and there is still no fix for it.
And btw neither there are issues with my inet connection nor do i think my provider has anything to do it. Everything is working fine except gw2…

I’ve been getting this problem since yesterday. I checked for driver updates, windows updates, ran gw2 in repair mode, ran gw2 in the port 80 test mode and am still dc every 5-10 minutes, and have crazy lag. I’m currently reinstalling gw2, however, as I see this has been a past issue on the server side (it seems) I would like to add my voice.

I’ve been getting this error message as well. It isn’t so bad during the day but once I start approaching peak hours, the game becomes unplayable from all the lag and disconnects. Have the mods or devs even acknowledged this issue yet?

Wihtout firewall, everything allowed for GW2, running like a administrator and allowed in Win Firewall, personal internet with my own router and settings.

I have spikes for 2-5 seconds in Mists, disconnecting sometimes 2-3 times per ONE sPvP match, unplayable for the LAST TWO DAYS. Nothing before, so hardly my mistake.

Still getting Error code=7:11:3:191:101 Never had a problem until the 12/23 update. Tried all the useless solutions posted over the past few days . Game can be fine for an hour or two but, once the error’s start I can disconnect/crash every 2 minutes. Keep taking your time Arena Net… I’m sure thousands of players aren’t getting fed up with the slow responses and quitting the game all together. I’ve been a GW supporter for over 5 years and this is truly upsetting. At least you guys are enjoying your holidays…
