name change contract
I’m afraid that’s it. Buy 3 name change contracts or delete a char, use one name change contract then remake the first char. The only time support will change a name is if it violates TOS.
You could always use a 20 level scroll, crafting and single level scrolls from PvP or Black Lion chests to get the remade char to level 80 or close to it.
Rename Character A something similar but not exactly like Character B, then rename Character B to Character A’s old name. Then you only need two contracts.
Hard to do that ^^ got 2 rare names I’m trying to switch

So what exactly are you asking ANet to do for you?
Change your characters names for you? That’s 2400 gems worth of service you would be asking them to give to you for free. They are a business and that’s part of how they make money to pay their bills. You would need to make a compelling case for them to do this. Just wanting it isn’t enough.
What about the fact I’ve spent several hundred dollars in the gem shop.
I should be a valued customer they help this once
It is so sad…
I’m sure you expect the CS Team to treat everyone fairly, and not to single any certain group of players out. It would be a shame if they decided to…say….ignore the ticket submissions from all those players who created silly threads, or something innocuous like that, would you not agree?
I certainly rest assured that the Team treats each and every player fairly, and my requests will be given exactly the same amount of attention as any other player’s request, regardless of the depths of my pockets….or lack thereof. =)
Was just a simple question. It should cost $10 not $30. As I really want nothing but to just change a name.
I’ve spent money in stores before. Can I go there and ask for free stuff and not be greeted with an incredulous look?
ANet is a business trying to earn money to pay their bills and themselves to make a profit. They aren’t going to hand out free stuff without a compelling reason to do so. “I want it” is not good enough. “I bought a lot of stuff before” isn’t good enough either.
Edit: if your argument is that you are a “whale” (someone who spends large sums of money) and should be catered to for this reason, a few hundred dollars doesn’t qualify anyone for that status. Maybe try spending several thousand to 10 thousand dollars, then contact support and ask for free stuff. Who knows, they might be willing then.

First off you people need to quit being jerks. I wasn’t asking you, was trying to get reply from anet not a bunch of trolls.
Second, I’m not asking for a single thing for free. I’m more then willing to spend the $10 to change my name. $30 is insane.
Thirdly mind your own business what others are asking, it doesn’t effect you.
Forth. Working in customer service for many years, yes if a loyal customer of many years who has spent a lot of money on our services asks for a small discount one year, you bet I’m going to give them a discount. I wouldn’t think twice about not helping them. Any company I know of would do this except maybe a retail store.

Then, create a ticket and ask the CS Team to give you special attention. I’m sure you will receive the answer you so deserve!
Good luck.
Posting on a public forum gets you people who answer posts on a public forum. As incupatus said, if you want a private conversation, make a ticket. No staff person is going to come on the forum and say “sure. We’ll give you free stuff. Change your names for you”. No staff person has the authority to authorize this sort of thing. That sort of thing is through a ticket only.
By the way, you need to come up with a better argument than, I want it or I spend a few hundred dollars.

It is just $10 to change a name. You, however, want to change two names, that are in use by the other character, without deleting either one.
So $30.
