i have decided to purchase some stuff from the store. i have followed the steps it wants me to take and as soon i click on the “proceed to paypal”, it drops me off on my desktop and thats it. no broweser, nothing opens up to paypal.
i did do a search here but looks like no one has this issue. hope someone can explain to me what is going here and how i can purchase something with paypal.

dunno, AFAIK it can be a problem on how long it takes for your browser to startup under heavy load or maybe you have a browser not used with the GW2 client?

i have firefox set as my default. and paypal had never an issue to load up on it. thats how i purchase stuff from other sites as well, like ebay.
if paypal should pop up, then it goes directly in to it were i just have to enter my password, but here, nothing happens. just drops out and thats it.

I’d submit a ticket to support, and/or post this in the bug forums. I always buy gems via paypal — with FireFox already open on my other monitor — and it opens a tab just fine for me to login to paypal and make the payment.

guess i have to do that. because firefox is open all the time as well but nothing happens. i even tried to purchase the extension pack through the game but the result was the same. had to purchase directly from the site.

Have you tried clearing your GW2 cache?
