power went out earlier this morning, I attempt to log in and it tells me I must authenticate my account because im logging in from a unknow ip address, I follow the directions and still nothing, anyone have any idea how I might get around this issue?

Try go to my account, and look for the login system setting things

After a powerdown your internet modem resets and often gets a new IP-adress wich indeed has to be activated.

If the instructions aren’t helping please ask support for help https://en.support.guildwars2.com/ (ask a question) and they help you back into the game as soon as possible. To make sure you udnerstand what to do:

a: Try to log in
b: get the message you have to authenticate the ip adres
c: wait for the mail and open it
d: click the link in that email
e: authenticate the ip adress
f: you should be able to logt in now

Thanks for helping others out despite your other thread
It shows you have more character then your showing there.

As far as I know the ‘my account – security’ doesnt give you the possibility to add an ip-adress. You can disable the ip system by going for the mobile authenticator. If the OP thinks the mobile authenticator is a good idea then thats a good way to go. But I wouldn’t use it as a solution for a system bug.
