sorry i dont know where this should be posted.
ive been sitin here watching these 2 botters(Yangzi and Wkkwy) for bout half an hour. they are talking but same phrase every time. they saying “?” and “you hit it too” yet their pathing is the same every time with sharp turns and no deviation. i said guys im gonna report you for botting if you dont say something different and they replied with the same 2 phrases so i reported em. so after that i go back to my grinding and here the 2 guys show up and both of them accuse me of botting where obviously i am not. im curious as to what i should do. oh btw im on kaineg and this happened near the iceflow wayypoint in frostgorge sound.

Reports are only the first step in the process. You cannot get banned simply because someone else reports you, it does however mean that ArenaNet will look at your account and see if you are engaging in bot-like activities. In your case I would assume you will be fine, in their case if they are running scripted movements precisely then chances are they will get banned or at least monitored (which they also do).

thank you Bluestone. i was just worried cause i had seen some of those posts in the forum about peopel getting lcoked out of their account cause they had been accused fo botting when they werent botting.

You wont get banned simply because someone reports you. There is a very toughtful process behind someone being banned so you don’t need to worry.
Also, for the future, please refrain from posting names of people accusing them of botting, as it is considered character assassination and strongly punished.
