My Girlfriend just got her windows 8 PC, and she was wondering if there are security issues with playing GW2 on a Windows 8 OS?

No, there’s no difference in “security” between Windows 7 and Windows 8.

The game isn’t optimized for Windows 8 however so there may be the odd glitch or performance issue. But overall you shouldn’t expect any problems.

Been playing GW2 on Windows 8 since December. No issues that I have seen.

I’ve got Windows 8 on my laptop, I haven’t run into issues with the game on Windows 8. If you’re looking to make sure the account is secure, use a unique password for GW2 and enable email authentication.
