Guild Wars 2

So I just got this problem recently over the past month and I’m wondering why. Every time I change maps the loading time takes forever long… Sometimes 10 seconds + and LA takes like 30 seconds.
PC Specs: GTX 660ti, Intel Quad Core Q6600 (2.4 GHz), 4gb ram on windows 7
Does anybody know how I can go back to my old loading speed?

How full is your hard drive, there may not be enough room for windows swap file also if you have stuff running in the background that will use more of your ram pushing the game into virtual ram that is created on your hard drive and is quite a bit slower. You may what to get more ram this will speed up your load time a little. As a last resort a reformat and clean install of windows does wonders for speeding up things.

My hard drive is only half full and all I run in the background is chrome with my youtube playlist playing. And even if I am not using all of my ram does it still mean that getting more RAM can help?

What I mean by running in the background is a lot of thing like iTunes, Skype, instant messengers, antivirus, and many others, event though you are not actually using them still run in the background and use system resources look in your task manager you might be surprised at all the stuff running. Yes more ram will help a little but being you have an older low end system you might just save that cash towards a newer system

Game loads a lot of data when zoning, more so for cities as well as players around the point you zone in.

Game, that I’ve seen, uses 2-3GB, grows as you play.
