Guild Wars 2

i am having trouble starting the game, every time i get to character selection/creation the game will crash and i am unable to select or create a character. i only got my game yesterday and was able to play fine, but today i am getting problems. i don’t think it is my computer since its new, i have only had it for just over a month

computer specs:
cpu: intel core i5 3570k 3.4 Ghz
graphics: intel hd4000 (will be getting hd7850 soon)
ram: corsair vengence 8gb 16000mhz
mobo: asus p8z77-v
psu: corsair tx650m
hdd: seagate barracuda 1TB (will be getting a ssd soon)
os: windows 7 home premium 64bit

the only other game i have played on this computer is vindictus and that runs with out problems.

i have tried re-installing the game, it still crashes, i tried to repair the game and it still crashes. and i don’t get any crash report every time it crashes so i have run few tests i hope this helps

ok i have a solution that is working for me right now. what i did is forced the game to play in windowed mode, this is how i did it

1. create a shortcut of the guild wars 2 client launcher
2. right click and go to properties
3. where it says target you should see where the original file is located at the end type -windowed it should look like this
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -windowed
4. click apply then ok

that should hopefully let you play without problems. it seems the game has a problem playing in full screen. i hope arenanet sees this and gets it sorted soon
