hi i already posted my ticket about my hacked account in the correct thread however i had a question about what happens after we finally get our account back. ive seen people say that their characters were stripped down naked.. my question is how do we get that back? can we get our items restored? our money? i had a fair amount of gems im sure is gone now, and i putt some gems into in game money. are we just left with what was left by the hacker? what if our characters were straight up deleted?

any response from GM would be fantastic thank you in advance for all your hard work guys

and one more question: do we have any way of getting information on whoever did this so we can press charges? this is illegal they shouldn’t get away with it. just a curiosity

I seen a post that they are unable to restore items at this time….something they would like ot add in the future….sorry I dont have the link its in this forum somewhere

thats really disapointing but understandable…at this point i just want my account back so i can play. hopfully i can get my charr back.. naked or not.. im sure my $30 in items/gems is allready gone

They wont restore your items, I was the one who asked… I have a level 80 money and materials. The hacker took it all from me and Anet doesnt seem to care they may just think were money. I love this game with a passion thats why I worked so hard and its all gone.

When you get your account back it will most likely be banned so don’t get your hopes up like the rest of us

Yea, I have have my account back, but the support team never un-banned my account.

I have so much hate in my heart for this game now, I just want to know why you didn’t think or is it that you didn’t care… this isn’t your first MMO so you should had known better…

I am definately right there with you Skiter..I have never seen such a total failure on CS side of things in such a top tier title…its like VG all over again..only the game is something I wanna play but cant……instead of I can play but wish i didnt

I wonder if anyone who has posted on these forums has had any kind of response from customer service team today. I know I was one of the first posters on the “Players still waiting thread”. Also, someone at their customer support team is incorrectly flagging tickets as done, seeing as so many people have posted about tickets older than Sept 1, still unresolved that involve hacked accounts and the Karma Exploit bans.

I was about the 8th post in that thread I didn’t get any response from them.

Not to mention when you do get your account back you’re going to be naked and not even have enough money to travel to a waypoint to try and start earning the things back you lost.

Did anyone else laugh when they boasted about hiring 28 new ppl to help with literally thousands of support tickets?

The only reason I haven’t tried to get a refund is because my GW1 account is linked to my GW2 account, and I and my friends put alot of time and effort into getting my HoM to where it is now.

I fall into the account hacked by gold sellers category and have been trying to get the ban lifted since the day of launch. Can someone with the cool red splash behind their forum name please help me!

We currently do not have an Account Restoration Service. This is definitely something we intend to offer in the future, but with regret we cannot do this at the present time.

As to the matter of an account being “banned” after restoration, I can assure you that if you contact Support, they will help you. The account may have been acted upon because the hacker was doing something wrong – like advertising a gold-selling site – but one you’re back on the account that suspension will be lifted.

thank you for the feedback but with all due respect… im sure we will get unbanned after we get our accounts back… but will that take just as long? its been 6 days for me with not even a response will it take as long to get my account banned which im very afraid it is.. im seriously considering just getting a refund tonight and MAYBE buying a new account, if i did that ide atleast be where i was before i got hacked

It took four days to get my account back and secure, and from what I’ve seen, I’m expecting to be able to log in around Friday night, Saturday morning.

yea and what sucks is that i had a reply to my NCsoft ticket (not an automatic one i got one today) asking to update my info (serial ect usual stuff) but that information was all in my original ticket! the agent didn’t even read my ticket he just opened it pasted the response and moved on it looks like… im sure 5 mins later he helped someone get their account back

i wish they would hire a call center to take calls for a week. i worked for a call center for 5 years and we got jobs from game titles all the freakin time asking us to do 100% CS.. took a day to train us then we helped thousands

Or a call center even. Even if I have to wait 1+ hours on hold for a Rep (for other service providers), atleast I’ll get to talk to a Rep. You could call into supprot for GW1 couldn’t you? I think I remember calling in to change an old email address that was on my GW1 account.

In all honesty, NCSoft is probably the ones holding ANet back from making it happen.

wow and i just read on the wiki that they finished all the tickets up to sept 2nd… not mine!

Well, I know the server resets daily attachments and other updates at noon pacific, which also happens to be when my my account got banned, maybe the un-bans are are just a scripted process that gets run everyday with that as well.

I’m sorry but that’s not comforting at all, especially based on the ticket queues just to have the account given back to us in the first place. 5-8+ days to get our account back and another 5-8+ days to get unbanned?

I feel like this is the absolute worst CS I have ever experienced.
