Same here, bought the boxed version from amazon, installed it and created account. Unable to play as I get the “your free trial account is currently inactive” message and asking me to buy it.
Clicked on the support link and just get ssl certificate expired message.

It’s a bug. It’s happened at least once before where it decided everyone had trial accounts.
