12 FPS GTX 670
Isn’t the Heaven benchmark GPU heavy ? Cause i ran it with my Phenom II 965 @ 4ghz with HD6870 in crossfire and a friend of mine ran it with his i7 3930K with a single GTX 670.. and i actually had a Higher score then him.
If it was more CPU heavy he should have blown mine away..
Was actually suprised mine scored higher but apparently ATI know hows to make Crossfire scale like crazy in about everything but GAMES.
either way a 6 core cpu with a gtx 670 should not be capping at 12 fps
your gpu is fine. Its the FX-6100 is the issue. Performs badly when it comes to single thread applications, when games are cpu bound. Which GW2 is.
Just cause you have 6 cores dont mean anything, when games are not even using it.
only thing good about the FX-6100 is nothing, which is still under performing compared to the Phenom II 965, at the same cost.
Only thing you can do is upgrade to Intel or get a 965. other option is to try to OC your CPU as much as you can, to help to maintain a more steady pace in games. But be sure to have air flow in case + a good cpu cooler.

guild wars 2 min cpu req is a dual core I have a 6 lol no matter how bad it performs it should not be getting 12fps
The game is horrible optimized though.
In my opinion a game that can’t stay above 30 FPS with a i5 2500 on STOCK needs some work but yeah…. even so Intel is the only CPU with enough single thread power to run WvW descend …
Which is pretty kittening sad tbh lol specially considering the requirements

Like I said, dont matter if you have 6 cores. You need to understand how cpu works. GW2 dont use all 6 cores, only 1. With the FX-6100, single core applications, perform badly, compared to Intel and previous generation.
Also your network speed + type of HDD used plays a factor too.
Win8 is also new and not fully supported in drivers or games yet. Still needs more tweaks to work out the bugs.

I will just get my money back for this game ive never had a fps issue in any game on the highest settings but this game I cant even play on minimum
and who was the genius to run a game all on one cpu core when todays latest gpus can handle the load…

Well that or just avoided WvW .. pretty much a zerg fest anyways
With your setup you can play pretty much play anything else ingame maxed out (PVE/SPVP Where the real skill comes in, Dungeons etc)
Which imo is still worth it.

GW2 uses more than 1 core, but it’s main game thread, like any other game, runs off one core. (See Question#8)
A GPU is used to render graphics, you still need the CPU to calculate when/where objects need to be drawn. (See Question#4, 10, 12)]
