Heya.
I (sadly) updated my Nvidia Drivers to the 310.70 newest version, and my perfomance in GW2 droped about 40%, can’t even get 20 FPS most times.
No idea why, but what to do now? How can I install the old drivers again?
Thanks,
:)

Go to Nivida site download the driver you had, uninstall the driver you have and install the old one.
Funny how a game that came out only a few months ago can not play with current leading drivers? thats kinda like I before E except after C. Weird huh?
Due to this issue i can no longer play either

yeah ive been having brutal amounts of game crashes for probably a good 3 weeks now, it sucks because this game is quite a bit of fun to play… Sometimes it will crash to desktop and ive even had the computer blue screen and restart. If I do anything else on the computer im fine for days and no blue screens or any issues, even other games dont crash or anything. I always lean towards a problem being my computer but with it being less then a year old and recently reformatted and updated I dont think thats the issue, or at least I hope not. Any help with this is greatly appreciated!
So I read the post on how to fix the black screen for Nvidia.
My drivers are up to date. and all setting in the control panel for it are as follows in the picture. ( I used the restore “feature” as they told me to) :/
I’m also reading that i should not have updated to the latest drivers? WTF? really? I mean a company that tells us that the issue is the drivers are not up to date and you need to update and when we do we get screwed. I cant take much more of this. I think ill call for a refund soon and actually go back to WoW. Still Battle.net but at least they read the dam forum. i.e. “loot bug”

M8 you have GTX560,have you read that maybe…….maybe these drivers are not for your card?I mean, i have GTX660 and im not using csaa X32……omg this one cant be handled not even from GTX590,and second the drivers that you have updated are beta and not official…………..BETA,for your card just unistall beta drivers and w8 for the official last build, nvidia is nvidia.
well i just installed the latest BETA driver and it works pretty much exactly like the previous versions since 306.97 on my GTX580
no FPS loss no FPS gain…not on GW2 at least
@OP:
did you changed any graphic settings ingame before tha blackscreen issue occured? (resolution for example)
if yes, delete the “local.dat”-file located at “C:/Users/your windows account name/my documents/Guild Wars 2”
Are you still running a 32-bit operating system, I had serious issues with game crashes with Nvidia before I updated my Windows from 32-bit to 64-bit.

Guild Wars 2 as a problem with Nvidia Drivers, it’s suposed to be better in the newest versions, but what happens it’s that is worse to unplayable.
Sigh… I will ty go to settings and change that to see if improves. ^^
