Advice to ANET
Thats all good and hopeful, but wont happen.
Dark souls 2 is a single player game, you CANT compare a single player game to an MMO, which needs to use alot of CPU power to process all the information.
BUT, yeah, GW2 has terrible optimization and something has to be done, thats for sure.
I don’t have Dark Souls 2, but I do have the first Dark Souls and it is horribly optimized.
Besides that, MMO’s are different as they have to process tons of network data which isn’t present in single player games.
In my opinion, Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 is one of the best optimized games for PC and looks great.
lol, the last thing I would want is to have japanese console developer like fromsoftware optimizing pc mmo…
So, everyone by now has realized the terrible optimization in GW2. It is unacceptable. Especially for an MMO, which is designed to be played by many players. In the case of GW2, though, even people like myself who have gaming computers cannot enjoy the game due to the terrible optimization.
I have some advice for ANET though on how to fix this optimization.
Dark Souls 2 recently came out on PC, and this game has probably the best optimization out of any PC game I have ever played. My brothers 7 year old PC can play Dark Souls 2 on high settings at 60fps flat at all times.
So, what ANET has to do is contact FromSoftware and have them optimize GW2. Since, obviously, the developers that made GW2 do not know how to optimize a game after 2 years.
I still don’t get how this game is so unoptimized yet GW1 had great optimization.
Oh well, just my little theory on how to fix it.
Your theory is wrong in every aspect, /thread
Fact of the matter is, if you had an decent i5/i7 setup, you would be enjoying the game just fine despite its shortcomings.
