Almost always crash in CoF, nowhere else
Updated my drivers last night. Left my computer off all night. Went to do CoF this morning, low settings. Still crashed.
Anybody have any help for this?
Have you made any changes to the regisrty or used a program that alters registry to supposedly reduce latency in games? If you have then that could be the problem. Not so long ago I had a similar problem when playing in a dungeon it would keep crashing, but outside of dungeons it was fine.
I had made changes to registry to improve latency and when I reversed those changes the game no longer crashed. If you havn’t done any changes like it could be some other networking issue.

I don’t think so, no. I’ve had 2 different ISP’s and have had the problem happen in both.
This happened in WvW last night. Wasn’t during anything that took a lot of graphic power, like a zerg fight.
This is ridiculous. Happens almost every single time during CoF runs now. It just happened 3 TIMES IN A SINGLE RUN.
I tried running full screen.
I tried running windowed mode.
Set the settings to best performance.
Set frame limiter to 30 and 60.
I tried updating my drivers.
I tried restarting.
I tried having absolutely nothing open except GW.
And I haven’t made kitten for progress. This HAS to be something on your end, Anet. I’m going to fill out a support ticket, in the meantime, if anyone has any theories, I’d love to hear them.
Hey!
I’m glad I’m not the only one – and weirdly I also have a XFX 7770 (Super OC Black Edition).
Suddenly the screen looses signal…i try disconnecting and reconnecting…still not signal
I can still hear the music in the background and I have done world events which lag the hell out of the card so doubt its the card not being capable.
It also has never done this on any other game! Only GW2.
And yeah it has only happened to me in COF.
I believe the people on this post have the same issue and also have similar graphics card (mainly the xfx 7770):
