I just got a new computer and when I installed GW2 the game set itself with Auto-Detect in the graphic menu. but as soon as a I meet 20+ players around me like in Lion’s Arch or WvW, the game crashes
I tried using ‘’Best-Performance’’ setting and its working very well but dam I didnt buy a new computer to play with FUGLY graphics.
Please post your system specs. (particularly CPU, GPU, ram, os)
Sometimes, these settings are a delicate balance between performance and quality and you have to fiddle around with different settings to get desired (or at the very least acceptable) performance/appearance.
Plus, depending on vid card, you may want to make sure that any video card control software is set to application controlled. But still, post your specs.

Interesting amount of RAM on that card…but anyways, I’ll assume its some typo and its really a 2GB or 1GB card. Lets make sure your drivers are up to date:

Yeah I know it’s a weird amount of Ram, I was as much surprised as you when reading the DXDIAG log but its what it says.
My drivers were in fact not up to date I’m currently downloading update, hoping it will fix the problem. I’ll post back when I’ll have tested the results.
Thanks by the way

Still doesn’t work. After updatimng my drivers I tried to log in.
I put my graphics to Auto-Detect.
Run toward Divinity’s Reach Black Lion Market.
open tab , tab becomes multi-color
Crash with Error message that I tried to Print Screen but for some reason it didn’t save into my GW2 Folder and I can’t find it on my computer either
-.-

Yeah, it says you are running out of memory…what is the amount of RAM used when you’re playing Guild Wars 2 on your computer? With 8GB that is plenty normally, your graphics card (presumably having 2GB) should be enough as well. Perhaps you having a lot of other programs that need to be closed or some kind of malware using up a lot of memory. Check your memory usage before booting up Guild Wars 2 and after logging into Guild Wars 2.
I find gw2 uses about ~1.5gb on my MBP… Give or take a bit at times. But again, that’s Mac…the wrapper takes more lol.
(at times it’s up to ~1.98gb, this seems to be more he norm lately)

My computer is brand new and Guild Wars is like the only program installed on my computer, besides TeamSpeak and Battlefield 3.
So it’s really not a problem with having too many programs open.
don’t want to bash bindly on the last patch but all theses problems started with dragon thingy patch,
Changed computer last week and its still there

Anyone else got an idea on what would be the problem ?
Or maybe Anet would dare respond?
At this point I can’t even play at all anymore
what version of windows do you have installed? 64 bit or 32 bit?

Windows 7
32 Bit
That would be your problem, 32 bit win isn’t utilising your full 8gb of ram. We may have picked up on that sooner if we had been able to see the full crash report. 32bit win tends to only be able to recognise roughly ~3.5gb of ram so any extraneous programs running (not to mention the os itself) is eating up all of that memory causing you to crash.
