I don’t understand how GW2 has such low fps, Urban battlefield Fractal was a slideshow and what’s worse it ain’t my computers fault as i can run any modern day game all maxed out so don’t say driver updates or any of that jive.

There is nothing you can do, most of us are in the same boat. The game is just poorly optimized and eats the CPU rather than GPU in big battle’s and such. We are all complaining, and you can only wait for them to fix it or at least optimize it more.

I run an E6600 overclocked to 3ghz so my CPU is struggling but i can pull of 40-60fps in pve with a 560ti. Just when i hit WvWvW its a slide show (big battles, about 6fps lol) and of course Lions Arch it dips to 17fps.

try the topic i linked and post your issues with details about settings, performance and system specs there

You need a new PC and this is not the other games you need a beast to run this.

I have never had a single problem that everybody is crying about with crashes or anything else.

im using a laptop that struggles with certain new games, but it runs gw2 amazingly smooth with almost highest graphics. so no. computer has nothing to do with it, its their optimization just like when the game was in cb, some people had trouble and others didnt, it was very random

Agreed 100 %

I have an older computer and I would have expected to encounter issues. But here is the odd thing.. At launch the game ran flawlessly on mostly High settings. Then, at some point around Halloween I started having problems galore, and I now mostly keep it on Low/Medium settings. I have tried repairing the client, monkeying with the audio settings, and deleting the local data file.. none particularly work. I’ve changed nothing about my computer since I began playing, and I know I am not alone, so I’m pretty sure it is something at Anet’s end.

So just because you haven’t had any issues, then that, in and of itself, negates ALL the other issues that these people are having with low FPS, all at the same time? Because you can run it fine means that no one else has any claim to “cry” about their issues with the game in said games tech support thread?

Riiight….
