Hi, yesterday I started having graphic problems out of the blue. When I open the launcher I get these weird lines!

But then it gets worse… the characters are shown like this

It’s only affecting the characters (well, the armors) because the environment and the animals and the rest of the stuff looks normal. I tried following the steps to “repair the client” as indicated in the website but it doesn’t change anything.

Has this happened to anyone before? Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance

Hi, Sammy.

I’m guessing that you are using an AMD Radeon HD graphics card in your computer.

Unfortunately, there seems to be an issue with some older drivers for AMD Radeon cards, as well as the AMD 13.8 Beta drivers released at the beginning of August and the 5xxx Series Radeon cards, that causes subsample quality textures on armor. As AMD has just released the 13.10 Beta Drivers, it is possible that you automatically or accidentally updated to these beta drivers and they may also contain the issue.

If you have manually installed or automatically updated to these 13.8/13.10 Beta drivers, revert your drivers and CCC package to the 13.4 Driver and CCC package. Reverting to the previous, officially released driver and CCC package has solved this error for other people having the issue. I also recommend you be more wary of updating to any beta driver packages in the future.

Also, due to your graphics corruption you showed with the “weird lines”, it sounds like you may also have a corrupt driver of the drivers you are currently using. Installing the 13.4 Catalyst Control Center and drivers should correct all of the issues you are experiencing if you are, indeed, using an AMD Radeon graphics card.

If you are not using an AMD Radeon graphics card, what is your graphics card manufacturer, what driver version are you using currently, and what Windows OS and ‘bit’ (32/64) version are you using?
