Botters.. Everywhere..
Tbh i’ve not seen any botters, or alteast not noticed any yet. Thats propably because i’m the sort of player that doesn’t stay in the same place long.
Anyways the gold sellers are a major problem, and yes people buy gold because if they didnt there woudnt be gold sellers in the first place.
Now A-Net falls under NCSoft and NCSoft did one thing right with the AAA title Aion and that is hunting down money sellers. I’m confident in that A-Net will be able to learn from them and reduce the amount of gold sellers by a great deal.
there is a epidemic of BOTs, we reported a lot of them and they still around for days, same spot, 24/7, also we notice that they teleport form mob to mob… report is USELESS.
Market is full of bot’s materials… what arenanet is doing?
I report at least 2-4 per day. I normaly see them in the main cities and they are still there lol even after reporting.
Game is going to crap like d3 did. Where the devs didnt care and let things go rampart.
Yeah, my list of blocked people for botting and goldselling is longer then my contact list. And they are still active o.O
It’ll be REALLY unfortunate if botters begin dumping tons of mats onto the Trading Post. By the time they got it functioning well enough (well, reasonably that is – I’m still having issues on occasion) enough time had passed for legit players to stockpile metric tons of goods and just super flood the market. It was just now really starting to recover form that. Enough botters could easily spin it back out of control in to near uselessness again.
I’m reporting loads of goldspammers every day. I’m surprised they can make money when GW2 has it’s own system of being able to pay cash for diamonds which you can then sell for gold, why take the risk buying from spammers and risk having your account hacked? I haven’t noticed botters but I haven’t been looking. I do wish there was an option to report people for inappropriate language, I’ve seen people say the most awful things and I even reported someone for an extremely inappropriate name. I don’t know if anything gets done about all this or how long it takes. I even saw one abusive little idiot claiming that his friend was a GM and he could say what he liked and nothing would happen. I do hope he gets banned.

They will get to it, they will not just let it all go to hell. They have a lot of things to deal with and ANet does care(least from what I have seen, playing GW1). You see how well you can do it with just the game purchase as the only fee required to play. Lay off them.
Also there is no point in reporting people for language, why they have the Chat Filter. Use it, why it is there.
There’s almost always botters in Queensdale event spot (broken bridge) and the little fort in that Charr zone but I came across a handful of botters running in a circle in the exact same pattern yesterday in the world vs world zone at the skillpoint location, I watched them for a few minutes and they weren’t live players and when they start attacking they’d run into walls/objects.

That’s my fear, I think it’s already kicking in on high populated servers, good thing it isn’t hard to get mats by yourself.

Also, you do know that you can purchase gems and convert them to gold on the Black Lion Trading Post right?
