Budget Builds for 1080p/high rez gw2
Odd you aren’t running with hires character textures in that setup. The card has 2GB and it barely goes over 1GB when I have textures on hires.
Did you OC the CPU at all?

having character models on high didn’t effect the fps when i tested it but I didn’t bother having it enabled for the screenshot.. Cpu is clocked at 4.1ghz from a 3.6 stock.. small but defiantly helps, easily done with bios overclocking features.
The biggest issue there is going to be with the CPU, which will be hurting in busier scenarios. Really not too bad, though, besides that RAM. You could’ve easily saved enough there to go for an FX-6300 instead, and you probably could’ve gotten an i3 with the same budget.

Athlon x4 750k for that price is really good. but GTX 750 ti is not good P/P … 7790 or 7850 or even 7870 have better P/P
fermi – he had APU FM2 – so Athlon x4

A 750ti is just behind a 7850, and the cheapest 7850 worth getting is $185 atm. For $150-160, a 750ti isn’t really a bad deal at all, especially from EVGA.

A specific circumstance. For anyone else, the 6300 is going to be much better.

GTX 750 Ti and 7850 cannot compare – 7850 is better deal for sure

750Ti also has a 60W TDP.. sooo… I also got the memory for 45 on sale which was a steal, as far as the 6300 goes i agree, if i had an AM3 mobo i would have gone with that, but the 750k seems to be doing good enough for now… somewhere down the line ill upgrade to something new when amd comes out with a new lineup.

yes it is the best P/W… it is a great choise best for P/W, but you can get R7 265 or R9 270 almost similar prices
Really didn’t want to turn this topic into a parts debate.. just simply showing that a low power, low cost system can achieve great performance in games like gw2.

Not when it’s $185 for a decent model. That’s how much mine cost a year ago.
