Hey guys,

A few days ago I got this amazing game which I am having a lot of fun with, but my problem was that the game kept freezing and crashing to my desktop. I also get a lot of crashing to blue-screen which causes me to have to re-start my own computer. This happens every few minutes – many times a day.

I have done everything to try to fix this game, from full software updates paired with other fixes to fully reinstalling 64 bit OS – still no success

Let me describe what I have done:

I found out about updating my graphics card drivers and making sure that every thing is fully up to date. I tried that and it did not work, I continued to crash.

Next, I saw that various people stated that it might be the fact that I was on 32 bit- Windows 7 and that there are only a few ways to fix problems related to that: (3GB switch, etc…). I tried all of those solutions and still kept crashing.

In the last few days, I decided that enough was enough and decided to uninstall everything and install a 64 bit Windows 7 to fix my problems once in for all. Unfortunately, after updating all my drivers and software, and installing 64-bit Windows 7, I STILL keep getting the crash… I just dont know what it could be now.

Here are my tech specs:
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series
Processor: AMD Athlon™ II X3 450 Processor 3.20 GHz
RAM: 4 GB
OS: 64-bit Windows 7 Enterprise

Please help me figure out what the problem could be…I simply cannot play the game like this anymore seeing as I am freezing every few minutes.

I have attached one of my recent crash logs.

Thanks for the help

I have been getting them multiple times – every single day.

Its so frustrating that this happens seeing as my computer is able to play fine with decent graphical settings but then after about an hour (at most). I just crash….

I’m really hoping someone will help me out here. I have honestly tried so many different troubleshooting options:

  • Updating Drivers
  • Updating all other software
  • Reinstalling OS
  • Going from 32 bit → 64 bit
  • Lowering all my graphical settings
  • 3gb switch method

What else can I do?

Really, nobody has any idea on what to do?

I keep blue-screening more frequently now. Keep in mind this is after completely wiping my computer and installing a 64-bit OS. Updated all my drivers and software.

Anybody have any idea on why this is happening….?

You may have a couple of issues may be going on, one of the common ones is bad memory find a good memory test app like windiag this app need to boot from a CD so you will need a cd burning app to burn an iso. Next check for over heating, make sure your PC has very good airflow. Pop open the case and blow out the dust, make sure all fans spin when you power on the PC, if you haven had the case open for a while. One other thing to check and, let’s hope this isn’t the issue look at your mother board check to see if they’re are any bad capacitors. Capacitors are little cylindrical components that have an X on top of them if the top looks like it is bulging up they are bad and can cause blue screens there are a lot of board coming out of China with substandard components that just don’t hold up if you see a bad capacitor they can be replace fairly cheaply but you will need good soldering skills or know someone that dose and has experience soldering on multi layer circuit boards. If not You will need to replace you motherboard. google Bad Caps there are lots of pics showing what a bad capacitor looks like.

Opinions are like ______ everyone has one I could
put the correct term in but not everyone has kittens

I feel your pain Bitwise. I have had this problem on and off since beta. I play Planetside 2, Diablo 3, and SWTOR with ZERO issues. The crashes are random and are not related to heat or a faulty PSU (I monitor my temps). The screen will go black or pink, the sound will loop, and sometimes the drivers will recover and I can continue playing. Other times the entire computer locks up and requires a hard restart. I am using an EVGA GTX 570.
