Last night, I was randomly disconnected while on my desktop and got the following error:

“The game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time. This is most commonly caused by firewall or router settings, security applications, or connecting through a campus network. For additional support, visit… (Code=10:5:11:2135:101)

The game works fine on my laptop (through the same network).

I’ve disabled the firewall and virus scanner and that hasn’t done anything.

Is your desktop connected through wire and your laptop wireless? Make sure your router isnt blocking the ports required, and check if your desktop have any anti-virus programs blocking it too.

I have been having this very problem as well. Both my boyfriend and I play on the same wireless network our landlord provides(both connected wirelessly.) He plays on a laptop, and has no issues. I play on a desktop and get frequent disconnections with the same code as the OP above. It is extremely odd. I have also tried turning off firewall etc, but it still occurs, sometimes more frequently than others. Not even sure where to begin looking for the problem. My troubleshooters cant find the issue with the network either, so any ideas would be helpful, thanks!

all it means is that it lost connection to the game servers.
at that time you likely would be unable to get to the forums either.

If it matters between the systems it might be driver related.

you might want to speed check your network connection. it could be that its dirty and getting some packet loss.

you might get some idea of whats happening by doing an internet speed check on both systems to see if there is much difference. generally the wired connection will beat the wireless.

but that is just grasping at straws. technically there should be no difference between a desktop and a laptop outside of the hardware and the network connection type.
different network cards and wired vs wireless connection.

plug your laptop into the wired network and disable its wireless.

GW2 servers should not care what you are connecting with.

Interesting… does this happen all the time or only when you both play, and when both, does it matter who loads up GW2 first? The latter could mean a problem with your router’s UPnP settings or system.

If it’s just on your machine, wireshark might give a little more insight. Download, install start capturing on your wireless adapter (it’ll capture everything that uses the network), then load up and play GW2 until it disconnects.
Off the top of my head, the more common reasons are a flood of TCP retransmissions (problem with Tx/Rx power on your adapter), no route to host (clear DNS cache, or disable DNS cache service), and fragmentation (adapter MTU isn’t set at 1492 for DSL or 1500 for cable).

No easy way to troubleshoot these kinds of problems, so hopefully even a bit of that makes sense.

i can finally access from my office pc.
i installed netlimiter on all office pc so when i uncheck the limits, i can finally play. otherwise i ll get the same message code.

so maybe it somehow connected to bandwidth issue or a sort

Thanks, i had the same error code today, couldn´t log in, turning of the limits in netlimiter fixed it for me.
