Can this computer run GW2?
Your best bet is to get an AMD system with the APU CPU/GPU combo. The Intel video is meager at best.

This is a better choice and the video is much better than anything on the Intel chips.
you are better off buying the asus and adding in a 260 for 100 more
also newegg for that pc is cheaper:

add a 100 usd r7 260 http://www.microcenter.com/product/426515/R7_260X_2GD5_OC_AMD_Radeon_R7_260X_OC_2048MB_GDDR5_PCIe_30_x16_Video_Card and you will be good to go and at the same price as amazon.
If gw2 or other mmos is the primary game you play, do not buy APU’s or FX processors as they are not designed to run for older cpu intensive software like gw2. Though the APU’s would provide more graphics power than intel, the cpu performance from a 2 module APU would restrict performance to worse than what an i3 with integrated graphics can provide.
Thank you both so much! (:

Unless you go in with realistic expectations or you are really cash strapped.
Like to note that Asus has been know to ship even smaller PSUs than HP (however in this case it looks to be 300 watts). So double check the 12v amps stat on the PSU sticker before slapping in an aux power free video card what that PSU. You may also need a PSU upgrade as well as a video card.

I forgot about the psu, get a cx430 for $20 or go with a gtx 750/ti that can run on a very low power psu.
GTX 750 doesn’t require external power. I’d be surprised if it didn’t run on that system without changing anything.
Depends on the crap level of the included PSU. The GTX 750 is listed kitten watts peak. Additional 5 amps at 12 volts. That can be a fairly large chunk of a generic 300 watt PSU’s 12 volt generation capacity. True the Intel CPU sips in comparison to one from AMD but it’s a concern. I’ve seen some very dodgy PSUs in prebuilts.

My desktop died, I’m in a real pinch and have a small budget, I at the time cannot build my own however for now I was thinking about this computer:
http://www.amazon.com/M11AD-US006S-Genertation-i3-4130T-Desktop-Graphic/dp/B00EOGGV3GI don’t WvW and mostly just stick to PvE, I’m not looking for anything that can max out the settings either (I have a visual impairment and it just isn’t that important to me) I’m basically just looking for something that can run the game somewhat decently. My last desktop was functional and I was fine with that.
Also for a laptop would this work?: http://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-17-e019dx-i3-4000M-Processor/dp/B00GYM8WYO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396617923&sr=8-1&keywords=hp+pavilion
I’m not really smart when it comes to computers, honestly. As long as it works okay Im happy. But I love GW2 and I just don’t see a point in buying something that can’t play it.
For the desktop, you want something with Dedicated Graphics. For the price of that desktop + 119~ You can get a HD7770, HD7790, or Nvidia GTX750 and that would ‘probably’ do you well. Else, please build your own. as youll save alot of cash and get a better system for your bang.
As for a notebook. This is really a hard discussion. Most all intel i3 and i5’s will beat AMD’s APU’s 2:1 on performance here. However, to get in a Intel Notebook that will do well for GW2 in mind, you are looking at 750-800 at a min(again, with a discrete Graphics Card). What I would do is buy a used HP DV6z-6c00(Llano APU based) from Ebay (300~ bucks). You can overclock the CPU part of the APU safely to 2.4Ghz(2.8Ghz if you drill holes over the intake of the APU’s Fan) and get a decent performance out of the notebook for the price of it. And if the Notebook doesnt live to your expectations, you can then buy a DV6T-6100 Motherboard (with a HD6770 GPU) and team that with either an i5 or i7(quad) for another 180. I know you dont like to build systems, but that IS the best bang for your buck when talking laptops right now. I have not found a single laptop under 600 that can do what a modded dv6 can. (Talking an i7-2630Qm, 8GB ram, HD6770, 1080P LCD for 550~ if you part it correctly)
I know the Laptop bit is probably a big ‘?’ to you, but basically do not buy an intel based Laptop that does not have a decent AMD or Nvidia GPU teamed with the CPU. As for the AMD CPU side make sure its a high ranked APU (HD*650 or better on the APU) or with a discrete AMD GPU.
Laptop: M6600 – 2720QM, AMD HD6970M, 32GB 1600CL9 RAM, Arc100 480GB SSD
