It’s like ArenaNet made the game and then decided to go on vacation and hired 5 guys from geeksquad to hold the fort down. Did you guys see how crappy the LFG tool is? Happened during a boss fight, spammed it for about 3 minutes (it stayed gray like I only had 1 weapon) would not switch to longbow from melee on my ranger. Had to run away and circle around, de-agro and drag and drop my weapons to opposite slots.

This is one of those long standing bugs. If you open your character panel (H key) and under the equipment screen, hit the swamp button between the weapon sets it goes back to normal.

This seems to happen mostly when you swap weapons and the cooldown is applied, but is not finished, and you are put in to a cutscreen. Best advice I can give is to avoid this is to learrn where the cutscreens are and don’t swap before.

Actually had it again today this time while killing skrit, both times i’ve had today it had nothing to do with a cutscreen both times, also I didn’t switch weapons recently either it was while engaging both times.

That is just odd.

Have you ran the game with the -repair option and/or deleted your file located in My Documents\Guild Wars 2\local.dat?

Happened to me a couple of times. Simple solution is to change weapon in the hero panel using the switch button (the arrows between weapons). This will clear the problem without needing to resort to weapon dropping.
