Hey guys!

Since the first patch after the Teqautl event, I’ve noticed that every character appears to be wearing the same gray armor. I associated it with some possible lag issues at Teq (although I did not always have this problem at the Teqautl Rising event). Yesterday, I finally told one of my friends who said it was probably the pre-character avatar. When I said it was still there, I realized that may be a problem.

How do I go back to normal? Changing my graphic settings doesn’t seem to change anything. I really don’t like staring at everyone with ugly gray armor. My armor, and NPCs, look fine. Thank you!

It looks like you have the graphics settings on “Best Performance”. If that’s the case, avatars will always display this way. It’s the systems way of trying to improve your performance by limited load-times on character models.

I have tested this on best appearance. With the recent patch, my game crashes almost everytime I do this (although before Teqautl, I could play on max settings with pretty much no problems, even with world bosses) so this is quite frustrating. However, the couple of times it does work, the armor does not change on any of the characters.

Is it the new culling? If so, any way I can turn that off? lol

Sounds like the new culling models in that case. I don’t know of any way to turn it off. My processor is such garbagio that I usually run best performance in any combat situation.
