I’m not trying to troll here. But I feel like Guild Wars 2 actually lied about their minimum requirements.

3.06 ghz intel core i3 processor
4GB of 1333mhz DDR3 SDRAM, supports up to 16 GB
500 GB serial ATA hard drive
ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics processor

My specs aren’t great, my graphics card is old. But according to their minimum requirements and canurunit.com says that everything can be run fast, as if this setup was ideal for this game, every single option on canurunit.com indicated to me that I could run this game on high settings.

But I cannot run this on low settings very well at all. I usually get 20 – 30 FPS on low settings. In PvP, if I change the resolution to 1280 X 720 I can play PvP with about 30 FPS, making it somewhat playable.

I feel like it’s a classic bait and switch, which is illegal in the USA. They baited me in with false minimum requirements and switched to a terrible performing game. I was skeptical that my computer could run this, but after checking, it appeared that I can.

I like the game, I think it’s great. But I do feel like they were dishonest.

Also, of course I have updated all of my drivers. I spent several hours researching everything I could do to make it run better. Also have contacted support, with no help.

I do know I need to update my graphics card, but the issue is that their minimum requirements aren’t correct.

You can run it. 20 FPS is running.

Minimum Requirements are MINIMUM requirements – that’s supposed to be the point where the game won’t run at all.

I agree with draeath, the minimum requirements are in fact the lowest specs that you should run the game at. It’s not the lowest specs you can run the game at 45-60fps. The minimum requirements are correct.

yes but according to canurunit.com, which is a site that scans your PC to see if you can run the game based off the minimum requirements.

Everything from that indicated to me that I would be able to handle this at highest settings.

It’s a garbage website…

So many games it told me I couldn’t run… and yet I already own them and play them all on max settings lol

Orphyn X – 8X Thief – Tarnished Coast
Lady Raevyn – 11 Necromancer – TC
Fanboy- The New Godwin’s Law.

Take it to canyourunit.com then, it doesn’t have anything to do with the game.

We are the sum of our mistakes.
You sir, must be very experienced.

You can run GW2. You have a low spec computer and this game is an MMO, which is really hard on your processor (You have an i3, not i5 or i7) and a ATI Radeon HD 4670, which is a mid-range card that came out 5 years ago. What did you expect?

Running todays game with a 512MB video card is not recommended, even on the lowest settings. i would recommend upgrading to something with at leat 1GB of VRam. Your CPUS is fine for the most part.
