My launcher has been unable to download the recent patches. I have internet connection, I’m writing this up on the very same computer that ran gw2 up til 2 weeks ago. I’ve tried port forwarding the ports 80, 443, 6112, and 6600, only the first two seems to run fine, the other two don’t.

So now, my launcher just says Downloading 0KB/(0KB/sec) while I’m listening to my friends on skype playing without me. :’|

I had this same issue for the past 4 days or so. Went down the entire checklist and nothing worked. However I did recall that my DNS was changed to the google public DNS a while back due to some connection issues. Now it would appear that the Google DNS is causing a problem. I removed it, and I was able to access again.

Check your DNS to make sure it’s set to auto or to a local one. It may help you as it did with me.

Take care.

Thanks for replying.
I don’t know how to check my DNS. I have Verizon and am using one of their routers. I’ve been told that I would have to contact them in order to get anything changed; is there no other way around it?
