Heya’s Sorry for the wall of text, but honestly i don’t understand what else i can do to fix this, ive tried repairing my entire computer to see if i have any corrupt or missing files, nothing found missing. Ive repaired Gw2 and no change. Any idea of what the hell is going on here?

I also have a gtx680 I had the same issue last night. Never had a issue until I updated my video card drivers. Did you just recently update?

I constantly update my drivers to what’s current. Ill try going back a few and see if i can find some kind of stability.

It’s 100% the latest graphics drivers. I took mine way back and now its fine. I guess its time to take the road of if it ain’t broke…

This is the last few crashes ive had.

Only thing I can suggest right now is:

First:

• Close your game completely.
• Ensure your game is set to Run As Administrator in the shortcut’s Properties > Compatibility tab.
• Ensure the ‘Read Only’ attribute is not set in the right-click > Properties for Gw2.exe, Gw2.tmp and Gw2.dat files in the installation directory.

Then: Check the game for errors and repair it

• Close your game completely.
• Next, make a copy of your Gw2 game shortcut and rename it “GW2 Repair” or to something that you will recognize it for being only for running a repair on your GW2 installation.
• Now, right-click this “Gw2 Repair” shortcut and click on “Properties”.
• On the “Shortcut” tab look in the “Target:” field, you should see:
  “C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2” or wherever you have Guild Wars 2 installed.
• After the closing quotation marks in this line put a space and then add -repair
  It will look like this but with your GW2 install location:
  “C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2” -repair
• Hit OK after making this change.
• Run this repair shortcut. Your game will run through a repair cycle and fix any damaged files it finds.
• After it runs through, start the game using the normal GW2 game shortcut (not the repair shortcut) and see if the issue persists.

If you want ANET to help, you need to open a support ticket.

Ive tried tickets and had no reply, ive made posts and nothing helps. Im sure if i made a post about an issue spending $$ they would have that !$$ fixed immediately. The funny thing is i want to buy more stuff using gems atm but whats the $!$! point if i can’t play without constant crashes.

Have you over clocked your cpu? I am asking because I was having the same crashes.
I run a i7 3770k I had it over clocked to 4.7 with a guide I found online.

I removed that overclock and used the factory 4.6 overclock on my maximus extreme.
I no longer have random crashes. ( so far )

Hey Vladimer, yea i have an i5-3570k ocd to 4.3, not sure how ocing would make these issues but ok. Pity i actually need my cpu oc’d to compensate for the bad coding especially in wvw. (Anet, take a look into planetside 2’s optimization lately) oh well, i guess i just have to suffer and deal with the faults of the game. Great game, great gameplay, bad coding.
