Out of Memory how do i fix it knowing i have the memory
Every once and a while (hourly- sometimes more often) my game will crash with this error;
—> Crash <—
Out of Memory: arena=Environment, cat=Map, allocBytes=25530520, arenaBytes=45763640, fallbackBytes=8400500, align=0 ,
App: Gw2.exe

I had the same Out of Memory crashes and have not crashed at all since making the following change (after running GW2.EXE with -repair):
Changed the Textures quality setting from nothing-selected to Low.
I suspect the memory issue is with video memory and not RAM because other users who have posted their logs with the same error had no more than 1024 MB of video memory (from their logs).

Ensure “high res textures” is unchecked, it shouldn’t be available on a 32-bit OS due to oom errors but due to a bug it is sometimes enabled. I’m kind of confused why you’re not running 64-bit anyway though as half your RAM is sitting there doing nothing…

Change the properties of your shortcut to the game (right-click—>Properties) FROM path-to-guild-wars\Gw2.exe TO path-to-guild-wars\Gw2.exe -repair

mine did the same thing. I think i fixed mine by doing a disk cleanup and a disk defragment. If you think about it, this game is pretty huge. So when i had the beta instaled and put my original copy i guess files got mixed up.
I have GTX660 which is 1,5 or 2 gigs of memory and I have out of memory crash every hour. ATM im running repair hope it works. ( I had everything set on low) My OS is 32bit with 4 gigs so its <3.25

The out of memory error deals with system memory, not the memory available on your graphics card. It is recommended to get yourself a copy of Win7 64-bit since you have 8GB of RAM but can only utilize less than 4GB of it.
