my issues are in FOTM only and is that i am always dc ing at the jumping map with harpies in fractal; not even 2-3 mins into it. i do not lag or dc in the game. just in fractal only and esp that map. also the map with the green jade maw bonus map, i have fallen and died into another map that looks like the grand canyon and therefore another time waster for me as no one can revive me and my party falls apart. pls work on FOTM dungeon esp when i dc and i cant rejoin the dungeon. Please stop wasting my time.

I have had the DC problem ever since getting on shortly after game release. It has gotten better, and worse, at various times. I have tried everything to resolve the issue at my end including remove security, checking routers, firewalls, etc. Yesterday the problem ceased and I thought I had licked it with my latest change, my wife and I got through two instances. But, today it is back with a vengeance. I am fairly convinced that my changes had little to do with it. I am a network engineer by trade, if I can help, let me know.

Update: I created a ticket for this and while support was prompt they did not answer my questions at all. Instead, the initial reply stated, "we’ll help you recover your account,’ when I clearly stated I’d never lost it and that I could log in fine and that I had never changed my password since BETA. I specifically asked about why this was occurring and speculated that perhaps it had to do with a failure to authenticate credentials while logged into the game.
The second reply completely ignored my questions and stated, “we’ll help you reset your password,” and with a new password set by support. I logged in and changed it but I’m not pleased that none of my questions were answered and instead they just treated it like an account recover / password reset issue when that is not what was occurring for me.
Wow…they did the same thing to me and my ticket. Support is a joke

My impression of Guild Wars 2 has been less than premier since the beginning of the game, at least with regards to support. I played the original Guild Wars for 7 years plus some, and only had one issue, but perhaps I should have taken that as a warning, because after 2 years of trying to get it resolved, I finally just gave up. I will not go into the details because it would merely recall the numerous times I tried to get them to read what was actually written, but instead was put in the hopper of canned responses.
This time around, I paid for the Collector’s Edition, (150 dollars) and then was locked out of my account on launch, due to the “hacking” fiasco, that actually never compromised my account, nor did I ever get any explanation for locking me out of my account. It took them 11 days to get to my ticket, and finally allow me into the game, I missed out on my promised “head start” that came with my purchase, they gave me nothing to replace or compensate me for that loss.
My support account is completely messed up, and I tried for 2 months to get that resolved, and finally gave up on that as well. I have no way to reach support with a “ticket” anymore because of this.
I have been “infracted” twice on these forums and have tried to get a response from support (through direct mail) on those as well, and I get form letters and then silence.
Now I cannot stay in the game due to disconnects, (along with thousands of other people) and keep getting the response that it is something on my side. My computer works fine as long as I do not try to play Guild Wars 2. I do not think they care if I play the game or not. They have my money, I have …nothing to show for it.
I have seen numerous bugs in the game (duly reported) that have remained in the game for months now.
There is no clear “Known Issues” list that one can refer to, and no idea what their priorities are in regards to various issues that are causing many people to throw their hands up in disgust and merely leave the game.
Support and communication would go a long way, but sadly, both are lacking here. It causes people to worry that perhaps there is no future to the game, and they are already writing it off as a loss.

Just wanted to give an update. It seems I finally solved my disconnect problem. And, I apologize to Guild Wars, it was not their fault. I get my ISP service from Time-Warner Cable. The modem that they use is made by Arris and incorporates a simple firewall. I keep firewalls on my systems and didn’t realize that the modem/router provided by TW had this feature. Anyway, when I adjusted that firewall I was able to clear up the problem. Now my game is super steady. I hope this helps someone else. Do not assume that your provider’s equipment may not be misconfigured if you are having a disconnect problem.

I have now run into this same issue for the first time since buying the game a little over a month ago. Can’t even log into the game through the Client. Keeps telling me my username or password is incorrect when it isn’t, considering I can log onto these forums and website fine. Even changed the password to test out. Wish they’d get this fixed…..

I have not changed a single thing (pass word etc) and I even went to a lower played server and still am geting dc every 1-5 min. Casting spell has a very bad delay.

This issue is still affecting me as periodically I am disconnected from the game with an error message and then shunted to the character select screen. While when this happens in the main world it is only a minor inconvenience it is extremely frustrating when this happens during big events and during instances. I have attempted instance “The Battle for Claw Island” three separate times and each time I have been kicked with an error before the end. While frustrating in its own right it is also making the game less interesting as I watch the same series of event fail to finish over and over. If you can get me any sort of advice or help to fix this issue it would be much appreciated.

This is ridiculous. I thought the rapid-fire disconnects were a recent development, but after reading that it has been months with no fix in sight….my faith in ArenaNet support is hanging by the skin of its teeth.

I have a simlar issue, i have just installed the game and am getting error code 11:1001:2:1524, i have never even played the game and it wont let me log on, have changed my password still did not help, i would really like to play this game, please can someone help.

I just reinstalled the game myself after replacing my hard drive, and now I can’t log in. Getting error message 11:1001:2:1524 as well from Diamondhead, MS and my server is the Far Shiverpeaks (EU).

I reinstalled the game a few days ago and every time it says I have the wrong password.
The error code that comes up on the client is 11:1001:2:1270

This all started on Sundat for me and now i cannot connect at all to run pingplotter. playing swtor with no issues at all. This error.

To add. Finally got to log in after midnight and it all ran fine. No pingplotter issues. Early morning access was fine also. I’m on Picken server which is maybe more EU heavy and these may be low load times. It was weekend afternoon and Monday evening I had these issues. Heavier EU load times.
I’ve reinstalled, I’ve repaired, I’ve rebooted router, I’ve made sure GW2 sails through the firewall. Game Advisor says there is packet loss involved. don’t think that is happening at my end. At exactly the same time I cannot load a character in gw2 after logging in I can play SWTOR without any problems.
I hope I can get a solution soon because not knowing if I can load up, or travel to another waypoint or even enter combat without running the risk of losing server connection is getting to be too much hassle.

wow so this is happening to me this morning.,after I get a black screen and have to restart the game. now I cant seem to log on and by the looks of it from reading some of the posts on the forums this has been happening for over a year now and they still cant be bothered to fix the issue,glad ive only been playing this game a few weeks and haven’t sunk to much time in it.

I still get disconnects every day.
It so happens I have had some time off from work the last few weeks and a lot of these disconnects seem to be happening between 10-12 AM Holland time.
I get quite some disconnects in a row.
Of course the first thing I do is blame my own internet connection, but I hardly ever have problems with that knocks on wood
I have restarted my modem, I have closed applications on my computer which I do not need, but still I get disconnects. Even when my connection is ‘Excellent’
It has to be said that I don’t get the password message.

i am haveing problems with the game since xmas,i get dc’s every hour or so and get completely kicked from the game .is there a server problem ? .
all my other intrnet connections are ok ,it only happens with gw2.

I’ve been having this problem as well, mine is more gradual rather than constant. The intermittent disconnections started after the December 23rd patch, and while at first only happens during big events (like the Tequatl kill events), it has recently become progressively worse to the point that today I cannot even stay on GW2 without disconnecting after around 15 minutes or so.

Playing on Seafarer’s Rest here.
I’m also getting frequent disconnects. I was completely fine until a week or so ago. Since then, there are times that I lag out and dc every few minutes, or lag and dc back to back (within a few seconds of logging in), and other times when I’m quite stable. So frustrating.
