Q:

Hi guys, I was downloading the game and at 80% there was a power outage. Upon returning he tried to repair, but caught in a loading point and he went back to download the 0. I lost almost 14GB downloaded. How can I resume from this point and if it is possible?

Hi RyanFL – I hate to be the bearer of bad news here but if your connection is interrupted such as by a loss of power or loss of internet connection, unfortunately the client will start over from the beginning. If this is a regular occurrence, I can only suggest downloading the client little by little and what I mean by this is closing the client out periodically during the installation. When you open the client back up, it should pick right back up where it left off. Either this, or I’d recommend installation from a different location or copying a fully patched client over from a friend or a relative.

Sorry you had to deal with that, I know it’s not fun to start a hefty install over from the beginning

How many gigabytes would that be?
And is it still possible if a friend has GW2 installed on Windows XP
while I’d use Windows 7?

Same happens with me. I had downloaded about 14 GB and suddenly power cut. When I started the client again it tried to repair the installation and then started to download again from 262k files but the Gw2.dat file still showing 14 GB size.
Can you guys please provide us a direct link of Gw2 file or official torrent link?
Here in my city there is so much power cut problems and I don’t have high speed internet. I need a resume able link even there is a power cut.
Or even if you cant give us direct link at least update your client so that it can resume even there is network failure or power interruption.

I paid $50 for this frustration ?
