CPU Temps while running GW2 and Firefox jumps between 48 and 52 C. I’ve also tried all of those suggestions. Now thinking about it, this happened after I re-installed GW2 on my SSD. Could that be the problem?
I agree, they changed somethng FPS droped about 35% in WvW (notice i play WvW 5h+ day)
So, after reading some more threads, it seems like a lot of people are having the same problem. Some people are even saying this started since Wintersday event.
Every patch there will always be someone to experience performance drops and often its something configured odd on their system. Computers have varying types of hardware/software so not impossible for small subset to encounter hitches.
What is your CPU/GPU clockspeed & usage utilization while running GW2?
(See Part 1.1 & 4.1 for more troubleshooting)

My Logitech G510 Keyboard is telling me my CPU Usage is 26% – Ram usage is 36%- GPU Core Clock : 850.5 MHz
GPU Memory Clock : Memory Clock 1026.0 Mhz
GPU Shader Clock : 1701.0 Mhz
GPU Temperature : 68.0 C
Memory Used : 509 MB
The culling is terrible, the FPS drops are masive during WvW battles, all my guild have the same issue (we are a WvW guild, do this everyday :P but today at oppening was just terrible), they modified something for sure, probably for testing. but the performance just droped a lot compared to last week, i have about the same frames on PVE tho, but in WvW is just awfull.

- PCI-E running at x16?
- try deleting local.dat
- Any core parking? (see Part 4.1)
I ran around Queensdale on my 3570K and Q6600, both went fine at 50-60fps capped. So you getting only 20fps is fishy.

I used to run the game at 60+ FPS now I can barely run above 22 FPS. I have a Lenovo Y570 Ideapad. I tried everything (new and old drivers) everything is updated and should be fine. Game is being unstable. They have to fix this…
Lenova craptops are well known for developing overheating (throttling) issues at normal temperatures.

Wow, so I deleted the Local.Dat file you suggested and then logged in. My FPS went back to it’s normal 60 FPS steady. I then Alt-Tabbed to come to the forum to say my thanks and to mark the answer for all others to see. I then alt-tab back to the game because a Moa was kicking me in the face and my FPS dropped right back. So I did the same process again. Restarted PC – Deleted Local.Dat file – Started GW2 – and now my FPS is back to the crappy 13-20 FPS.
