Guild Wars 2

I have just downloaded guild wars 2 and after i created an account and tried to log in, it tells me that the game client cannot access the log-in server. I dont think its an issue of busy servers because a friend of mine was able to log in just fine at around the same time i was trying. Is there any reason to this?

Turn off your antivirus and try again (make sure to turn it back on )

Yes i did that too, still showing the same error.
