Error Code 42:0:9001:4117 Please Help!
Server – GOM
Would there be a contact number? or some one with Ventrilo that can help me out?

I’m having the same problem and I’ve had the game since early september. I think it has something to do with the most recent update not installing correctly. A few of my friends are also having the problem.
The official wiki also says that this error message can be displayed when the server traffic is to high.
So not that it really helps, but I’m right there with you. Hopefully they fix it soon.
Yes! but i have never even been loged in one time. just got the game last night.

When you log on in the lancher, can you put your Email Address for your Account name or is it the ServerPolice.1852?

Hi ServerPolice.1852,
The username box on the login menu takes your email address registered to your Guild Wars 2 account.
Also can you answer any of the following questions please:
- Who is your Internet Provider (ISP)?
- What make and model of modem/router have they provided you with?
- Are you on Dial Up, Cable, ADSL, DSL, Satellite or Mobile Broadband?

Your ISP is Comcast you stated that at the beginning of your post. I have did a little research for you and would like to suggest that you try the following steps.
- Disable your SPI Firewall, this is built into your Netgear WNR2000 so you will need the username and password to configure that. Here is a guide I found online which tells you the default username/password combination if you have not changed them already.
http://www.ehow.com/how_6898516_disable-spi-firewall-netgear.html - Portforward the correct ports used by Guild Wars 2 into your routers configuration.
Here is another step-by-step guide. http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Netgear/WNR2000/Guild_Wars_2.htm - Search for any options in your router configuration pages about Quality of Service (QoS) Please also test with this enabled and disabled. This service can limit internet traffic or priortise other internet traffic it thinks is more important. Guild Wars 2 is fairly new and may not be properly recognised by QoS technologies.
- If you know how to change the DNS servers that are configured in your router (unfortunately I couldn’t find a guide for this). Change them to use OpenDNS.com
Its a free service and will test to see if your current ones are the problem.
The addresses required to use OpenDNS are:
- 208.67.220.220
- 208.67.222.222
I hope this helps you, please let me know either way if any of these are successful so we can keep a track record to help other users.

Are you sure about things like:
- Are you running the game as Administrator?
- Is windows firewall disabled?
- Are there anything like P2P downloaders, Torrents, or PeerBlocker applications running?
- Can you confirm the Guild Wars 2 ports are open using this service: https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2

Yes its set on Admin,
Windows Firewall is disabled.
I dont do any of that downloading stuff,
But!! the post site, it shows the 80,443,6112,6600 are not open. I’ve done youtube videos for a hour trying to get that done, I thoght it was but i guess not. i have Netgear WNR2000V3 Router. do you know of any good guildes for that?

When you port forward those ports you have to specify a LAN address to forward them too. Is your PC that LAN address, double and triple check Some people sometimes forget their Internal IP is still on DHCP. IF your your PC does have an automatically assigned IP, change this to a static IP.
If you can take a screenshot of the port forwards page on your router I can check they are done correctly.
