My girlfriend and I have our own computers. We tried to log in to the game this morning and it would not load, giving us this error code on both computers. We tried to get on this website to check the forums and it also would not load. Anything involving the official Guild Wars 2 site/game would not load, but any other site we tried loaded fine. We live in Michigan and her sister who lives hundreds of miles away in Alaska was able to load everything fine. We rebooted our router in hopes that maybe it would help, it did not. Next we created a shortcut for the game on my desktop and added /clientport 80 to the target line and opened it there, got the same error. After a minute or so longer, we were all of a sudden able to load the guild wars 2 forums and the game. Any ideas what happened or what this error code means? Could Comcast have temporarily blacklisted Guild Wars 2 in our area?

Yes. There is most likely a problem with a server node on the path your computers take to the game servers. We can’t pinpoint the issue because you haven’t provided a Tracert.

Follows the Tracert of 2 computers . just to clarify this did not happen before the last feature pack. already put firewall exception on ports 80 and 6112 and dasativei the firewall to test .

From your first log:

10 194ms 11/ 25 = 44% 0/ 25 = 0% ae5.edge2.miami2.level3.net [4.68.111.121]

You are losing 44% of your packets. This is where the problem is. You have to look at the first place where you’re losing a lot of packets; anything beyond that is cumulative.

From your second trace:

10 121ms 5/ 25 = 20% 0/ 25 = 0% ae5.edge2.miami2.level3.net [4.68.111.121]

Both traces show major problems at this server:

ae5.edge2.miami2.level3.net

You may be able to contact them with the trace details so they can resolve the problem. Here is a page showing the contact information:

I literally just bought a physical copy of this game and installed it no longer than 3 hours ago, and now I’m getting this error code with every attempt at logging in. All my firewalls are turned off, and from what I understand after browsing the forums for a while, I suppose I just picked a bad day to purchase Guild Wars 2.
