Hi there,
Last night i was having connection issues in rata sum near the SAB portal, this i can understand but after many disconnections i was unable to log back in and haven’t been able to since, i do not live on a campus or share a public network but the error code i get is 42:1000:7006:881

Thank you very much for your reply Ashley,

I received the reply through my phone while away from my PC, at the first opportunity i logged on to the game client before downloading the tool and by the wonders of modern magic the error code was not displaying and i could load the game. I will be downloading the tool for future reference and will be enjoying the super adventure box update :-)

I have found the problem. (for me at least)
Error 42:1000:7006:881 relates to the fact that the client is unable to establish a connection with the NCSoft login servers.
The software “PeerBlock” integrated P2P list blocks those IP. It’s possible that your firewall may block those IP as well.
Make sure that whatever firewall you have allows connecting to the following IP ranges and the problem will be resolved.
64.25.XX.XX:6112
206.127.129.XX:6112

For the umpteenth time i am getting this error ..
I have attached the game advisor report.. !
bought this game 2 days back.. played a little yesterday.. and it shows 100 % download in the login window..
but every time i try to login…
i am stuck with this message : guild wars 2 has encountered an error..

i have already tried with making that shortcut, checkng my firewall, disabling my antivirus(avast) … flush dns, renew, shutting off my computer, and then shutting off the router..

But i am still getting this error….

Resolve please ??
give me some ideas on how to resolve this …

Hey all – it would appear there are still quite a few of you experiencing this issue. Even though the original poster’s issue has been resolved, I’m just going to throw a few troubleshooting steps out there for you all since this error message is often caused by a number of different things.

Here are some things you could try as far as troubleshooting goes:

1. Disable security software

2. Bypass your router and try connecting directly to your modem

3. Ensure ports 80, 443, 6112 and port 6600 are fully unrestricted and accessible, both inbound and outbound.

4. DNS Flush

5. Winsock Reset

6. Msconfig

7. /clientport 80 command

8. VPN

If anyone wants more info on how to actually perform some of these steps please let me know. For better one on one assistance I’d recommend creating a support ticket or creating an original thread for your particular issue.

I checked the first 4 steps but i have no idea how to check point 5 to 8.
