Extremely low FPS... but why??
you left out what graphic card you are using, but >>read this<< probably answer your question; if not more.
The only exclusive skyhammer stream
This is my graphics card: Intel® G41 Express Chipset. It has 1582 MB memory.
So, I’ve updated my driver and my windows updates, but I still get this extremely low fps when I play the game.
I’ve done all it says on this thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/tech/FPS-and-Performance-based-issues-1. And my fps is still terrible.
I hope you can help me with this.
Thanks in advance,
Siladius
Hi Siladius.6452,
Intel® G41 Express Chipset is below the Minimum Requirements to play this game.
The minimum hardware and software requirement to run this game are:
- Windows® XP Service Pack 2 or better
- Intel® Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz, Core i3 OR AMD Athlon 64 X2, or better
- 2 GB RAM
- NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800, ATI X1800, Intel HD 3000, or better (256 MB of video RAM and shader model 3.0 or better)
- 25 GB available HDD space
- Broadband Internet connection
- Keyboard and mouse

Oh I see… bummer.
Thanks though, Nitro.
Im afraid your computer is most deffinatly NOT ‘a fairly good computer’.
A gaming computer ‘generaly’ needs replacing/upgrading every 2-4 years depending on how good the parts were when it was built.
So for example if you bought the best of the best as soon as its released, you could expect to be able to keep it going wihtout touching it for 4 years.
If however you bought a tight budget system, you would likely need to upgrade parts within 2 years to keep performance in games up. 3 years if its the higher end of budget systems.
Your system bassicaly needs replacing completly. You need a New cpu, which would requir a new motherboard, which would need new RAM, you would likely need a new PSU, deffinatly a dedictaed graphics card, and likely a new Case. If your current HDD and Optical drives are IDE (big wide grey leads) then u would need new SATA HDD’s and Optical drive.

Hi Siladius.6452
I would take any advice about replacing your entire computer with a pinch of salt. Your PC isn’t as bad as others may want you to think. I personally have the 2.8GHz version of your processor and 4GB of ram also. The biggest difference between our systems is that I have a fairly beefy graphics card to accompany my processor.
Now I am overclocking my CPU so that I can get the best frame rate possible from my system whilst playing World-vs-World. However at stock speeds I could easily play this game with 40-60fps in a mixture of medium and high settings (mostly high textures) in PvE mode. If you cannot afford to buy a new computer then adding a dedicated graphics card to your current one could be enough to play the game in PvE 30-45fps on low/medium settings. Overclocking my CPU has turned my system into allowing medium settings + high textures and shaders (including SuperSampling) at 50-60fps.
This would depend on the graphics card you chose and you would certainly have to do a bit of your own research as your computer would perhaps also need an upgraded power supply to handle the addition of a dedicated graphics card.
A new power supply may also unlock overclocking potential (depending on other hardware such as motherboard) which would also help your FPS in game.
So like I said, you do have options available to you, and I would certainly take caution of any advice giving on these forums because I certainly would not say that you absolutely had to buy an entire new computer just to play this game.

^^^^ This if you have about a 300Watt power supply this would put you in the game playable $50 or $40 if you get the rebate. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102994
