your drivers is the problem .
download again the driver from nvidia and DO NOT UPGRADE but uninstall fist the current and install ( with run as > as administrator ) it after the restart with antivirus off ( many antivirus do not allow the software that install the drivers do changes @ windows system files )
still geting crash after uninstal then reinstal nvidia driver
i dont think it is my rig problem when i don’t have ANY CRASH while playing other game
anet should check their client or whatever it is
this repeated crash started after jubilee patch

first of all i see that you problem stay connected to authenticate server and to many other anet’s servers .
second issue is the operating system . it gives ( win 8 64 bit again ) to many errors as it seems that it is not patched or fixed from ms if you ahve done the updates …..
p.s. a friend of mine bought a laptop and i advised him to ask as installed win 7 and he is running the game perfect and an another in my guild bought a super game laptop with win 8 ( i7 , 670M ) and he has 20fps in lion archs . i have more with my 7 years old pc

i have been playing with this rig since february 2013. didn’t have any issue regarding connection or performance.
yet after jubilee patch i get crash A LOT while playing
so now suddenly my rig is the problem? whereas many people experiencing the same crash. sudden lost connection from anet server. cant even completed living story event.
well i just hoping there is honest answer from anet
and not blaming our rig

I’ve played GW2 without any issue on 7, 8, and 8.1. I can almost assure you Windows 8 on its own is not the issue…
I have the same problem. Tried repair and reinstall nothing work. Sent email to support about two days ago with the crashing detail plus the game diagnose script, haven’t gotten anything back yet :/

I never had crashes for months, i haven’t changed anything on my computer (neither hardware nor software or drivers) and, indeed, since one week, i have a lot of game crashes now (especially when doing hourly events).
I have had a lot of crashes since the jubilee started. So far all my crashes are in wvw.

It’s the producer’s fault not yours, do not try to fix what aren’t broken. They are the one who have to fix their**** not you.
Reborn.2934’s post details a few problems that you should fix that may solve the problem:
1. Your SIS SATA PnP drivers need to be installed.
2. Disable Windows Defender – provided that you are using a separate anti-virus program – the two usually conflict with each other.
3. Disable MVPControlPanel.exe from running at startup.
A good thing to try would be to disable ALL unneeded start up programs. On Windows 8 you can press CTRL-ALT-DEL and do this from Task Manager.
