GW2 Restarts my computer once every hour.
Gw2 is a CPU pig. It will use quite a bit of power. Is your pc overclocked?
intel 335 180gb/intel 320 160gb WD 3TB Gigabyte GTX G1 970 XFX XXX750W HAF 932
nope not overclocked
Full system specs including PSU would help alot

Radeon HD 7770 1GB
Intel I3 1115 3.3GHz
Gigabyte HDD 500GB 7200RPM
8GB RAM
M4TRIX PSU 550W
So let’s add all this up :
CPU 100% = 90W
GPU = minimum 500 (see amd website)
RAM => 4W per stick = minimum 8W
HDD = around 8W
Now you have 550W , so when the pc is stressed to the max like when you play guildwars 2 you gonna have some power problems
You need at least 600W to keep the machine up and running. And it’s good to compare with other games, but do it with similar games not ‘Lol’ wich is already a joke on it’s own :p
Do you compare a 300 hp car with a 60 hp car… and then ask if the 60 one can go as fast as the first one ?
I doubt my cpu goes to 100% when playing though
Well in any case, the psu is still low for the stuff you have. Never go cheap on a PSU.
Actually your CPU will most likely get close to 100%. Since there is no i3 1115 I am going to guess that it is a 2125 maybe.
They have a max TDP of 65W.
What make is the PSU. Some lower end PSU’s are not rated correctly, especially on the 12v rails. 7770 requires 400W+ alone depending on the model, not to mention all of your other components.
I will bet you a mug of norn ale that it is your PSU not giving you enough juice.
GW2 is a power pig, I had to replace my old 650W and upgrade to a 750W PSU since I was having the same issues(I had overclocked as well ^^).

And also no program is made to reboot your system. It’s not like guildwars 2 dev just add a random shutdown code in the game just for fun… So if the program broke something you get either a total freeze, a blue screen, or the pc just crash and don’t restart.
Since yours is restarting, then it’s more a hardware problem. (like gpu/cpu to hot or malfunction of any component.) Now maybe you think that your PSU is good enough, and i’m not gonna argue about that with you, but like every electronic device it can break or malfunction. So depending on how long you have been using it, the power can decrease. It’s always better to have some room for error. I have a 850 W one, and maybe i don’t use it all but i’m playing it save.
You can still measure your psu to see if it is still in good shape, otherwise buy a new one, it can only be better than now.
Like Hoegarden said it is always better to have overhead when dealing with power supplys.
There good news is that even good power supplys are not overly expensive.
