Hello, I’ve been experiencing this problem for a few days now, it’s only my computer as I can use others and I don’t get fatal error crashes in a dungeon. I originally thought it was just the Bloody Prince but I can’t do anything dungeon related or I crash.

I repaired Guild Wars 2 following advice from a Dev in a much older thread, it repaired and I ran the game and instantly crashed once I entered Bloody Prince. I’ve sent in several error reports and never recevied word back from Arena Net.

Now that the repair didn’t work I’m hopeless, anyone else have the same issue or know whats wrong? WvW, PvE zones, Spvp works just fine.

Fatal Error: Fatal disk-error (23) on write,

That is not good. I would do a check disk; may have a failing hard disk.

Open “computer” and right click on “C:” drive and choose “properties”. Under the tools tab there is a button “Check now”. Click that and run the disk check.

I tried to do that but cannot, I only have a C drive and D (disk drive) and when I try to preform that action it says it’s in use and if I would like to “schedule” it but when I click to it just disappears and nothing happens.

I was going to just restore my computer to factory settings but im unsure how, there is no f11 option at start up and using windows 7 CD saves my files and reboots the platform, I assume I need to “format” my C drive to turn it back to factory settings but just like above when I try to do it, it says it’s in use and nothing happens….

Clueless how to solve this.

If it asks to schedule, click ok. It will do a disk check on next reboot.

You could try it this way:

Go to Start, type cmd and press ‘enter’ (open a command prompt).

Type the following, then press ‘enter’:

chkdsk c: /F

There’s a space between the : and the /.

It will ask you to schedule a drive check. Type Y for yes and press ‘enter’. Type exit and press ‘enter’. Now reboot.
